Any Church Not Helping Members is Not Doing the Right Thing – Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has taken a swipe on big Churches in Nigeria that do not do enough to alleviate the sufferings of their struggling members.

Speaking during Sunday service at the Church’s Oke-Afa branch in Isolo, he said although many Churches get donations worth billions, they find it hard to give to the less-privileged in their congregation.

“There are many men of God, but it is only God that knows the genuine ones. I do not know. But all I know is that it is unfair to have and not give remarkably.

“Here, as much as our power can carry, we provide foodstuff, clothing materials, money, work tools and other items to our members at regular intervals. About 20 people we presented during service today will in a matter of days receive money to start up or grow their businesses.

“Even Muslims are welcome. Year in year out, we send people to Jerusalem and Mecca from our pocket and sometimes with assistance of our helpers. I have lost the amount of millions we have spent on hundreds of Nigerians because this Church gives ceaselessly.

"Imagine if others did same and more for those who find it hard to fend for themselves, the Church would have contributed greatly in boosting Nigeria’s economy and reducing poverty.”
