Suicide Bomber That Killed Atleast 11 Yesterday In Russia Was 22 & He Used A NAIL BOMB

These are the first images of the carnage inside the St Petersburg metro train blown up by a suicide bomber named today as a Russian citizen from former Soviet state Kyrgyzstan.

At least 11 people were murdered and 50 injured in the blast and horrifying pictures show bodies, blood and wreckage strewn across the carriage of the train blown up between Sennaya Ploshchad and Sadovaya metro stations in Russia's second city.

Russian citizen Akbarzhon Jalilov, 22, who was born in Kyrgyzstan, has been named by security services as the suspected suicide bomber who also planted a second device hidden in a fire extinguisher that failed to explode.



CCTV images of the suspect have been released and shows him in a red Parka jacket, wearing glasses and a dark green beanie hat and carrying a rucksack on his back through the Metro.

Another CCTV image shows him walking along the street with both his fists clenched - potentially because he was clutching the trigger for his suicide bomb. Police believe he has close links to radical Islamists.

OMG! Man Chops Off Pregnant Woman’s Hand In Ekiti

A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass.

A reporter, who visited the pregnant woman and mother of four on her hospital bed on Monday, reports that the left hand of the victim was cut off from her wrist.

The victim’s husband, Mr Mohammed Admams, said that there was a quarrel between him and his neighbour, resulting in the chopping off of his wife’s hand.

He said, “My wife, the victim, reported to me that our neighbour had fought with her while I was away. I challenged him and in the process, both of us started fighting.

“My neighbour rushed inside his room, brought out a cutlass and I also brought out a cutlass in defence. When the man came out, my wife tried to intervene and he slashed her with the cutlass.

“Her wrist immediately fell-off her hand,” the husband said.

Confirming the incident, a Police Officer, who only identified himself as DSP Peter, said that a case of a man cutting off a woman’s hand was reported at Ikole Police Division.

He said a suspect had been arrested and the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department at the State Police Command Headquarters, Ado-Ekiti.

The victim is still receiving treatment at a hospital in Ikole-Ekiti.

The hand that was cut-off had been deposited at the mortuary.

My Father Warned Me Not To Get Involved In Online Crime – Arrested Yahoo Boy

Chukwuemeka Egbemude, one of the four suspects arrested by the operatives of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command for tricking expensive phone sellers to desolate locations and robbing them afterwards, has disclosed that his father warned him not to use his house as a base for cyber crime.

22yrs old Chukwuemeka, a 200 level drop out of North American University, Benin Republic, was arrested last Wednesday in company of three others, who were fingered in the shooting of a police officer, who attempted to arrest them in one of their botched robbery operations.

The gang leader, Wilfred Ehis, a Chemical Engineering graduate of University of Benin, had in his confessional statement to police said his task as leader of the group was to source for expensive phone sellers on online platforms, pose as a lawyer, order for expensive phones and accessories before waylaying the delivery man and rob him of the consignment at a designated location.

On his part, Chukwuemeka confessed that all he did since dropping out of school was to pick fraud items for online fraudsters as well as put Ehis through on how to carry out online fraud.

He said he had been lodging from one hotel to the other along with Ehis around LASU/Igando area as his father barred he and his elder brother from using his residence as centre for online fraud.

According to him, “I dropped out of school not because I wasn’t brilliant but for my inability to pay my school fees. And, since I returned to Nigeria, I started online fraud and picking fraud items for online fraudsters in and out of Nigeria.”

The first picking job was for myself in 2016. Later, I did a job for a “yahoo boy” which fetched me $400. I have been into online fraud before I entered school in 2011.”

He continued, “I have done a lot of transaction for boys including those that involved me travelling out of the country. Everybody in the neighbourhood (Afolabi Bus Stop, LASU–Isheri Road) knows the kind of job that I do.

I also help “yahoo boys” to pick money, expensive wristwatches and rings. I go to bank to pick up the money for them and I get my 10% or 15% commission on every transaction. I have helped more than 50 boys doing that kind of transaction”.

“My father got to know that I was into online fraud because he sees me carrying laptops and heard me whenever I make calls to my victims and trying to sound like an American.

"He called me and told me point blank that, I should never in my life use his residence for such business. Since 2015, I have been moving with Ehis, lodging from one hotel to the other.”

Sources disclosed that apart from being a very close associate of the ring leader of the gang, Chukwuemeka is always with Ehis all the time and he had dealings with Nurudeen, alias Onyaebo, the notorious hit man of the group.

According to Wilfred Ehis, Nurudeen has the two guns used by the gang for their operations, and that he sneaked into Lagos through the creeks of Ogun whenever they have operations.

Two of the five victims of the group’s robbery, who identified themselves as Oluwaseyi Sanwo Sunday and Alabede Habib said that the group used okada for their operations with two guns.

They added that Iyana School Bus Stop, along LASU–Iba Road in Lagos have been areas where they lured three of them to before dispossessing them of those consignments, which Ehis posing as Barrister Deji ordered for.

The suspect with the gang leader, Wilfred Ehis and two others, Bright Eloho, 24 and Olanrewaju Kamilu, 33 has been transferred to Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos for further investigations.

Police Re-Arraign Seun Egbegbe, Four Others

The police, for the third time, have re-arraigned a Lagos-based  film-maker, Olajide Kazeem, popularly  known as Seun Egbegbe, and his alleged accomplice, Oyekan Ayomide, for alleged serial frauds involving N39, 098,100, $90,000 and £12,550.

The duo had earlier been arraigned on two different occasions before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo of the Federal High Court in Lagos on 40 counts.

Their re-arraignment for the third time on Monday followed the amendment to the charges by the police.

In the amended charges, the police introduced the names of three other persons as defendants to the case.


The defendants,  whose names were added to the charges are Lawal Kareem, Olalekan Yusuf and Muyideen Shoyombo.

The defendants were accused of swindling no fewer than 30 Bureau De Change operators in Lagos of various sums both in local and foreign currencies between 2015 and 2017.

The police alleged that the defendants defrauded the BDC operators mostly by falsely representing to the victims that they had foreign currencies to sell to or buy from the BDC operators.

The police alleged, for instance, that on February 2, 2017, Egbegbe and his co-defendants fraudulently obtained the sums of N2.45m and £,3,000 from one Alhaji Isa Adamu in Lagos under the guise that they wanted to see the naira and buy the pounds.

Among the other victims of the alleged frauds by Egbegbe are  Mohammed Sanni, who was allegedly defrauded of N2.46m on 2017 New Year’s  Day; Jubrila Ado, allegedly defrauded of N1.257m on September 9, 2016; Hassan Amodu, allegedly defrauded of N600,000 in January 2016; Sanni Hassan,  allegedly defrauded off N1.43 and £2,750 in August 2015; Saidi Abdullahi, allegedly defrauded of N700,000 on April 18, 2016; Atairu Abdullahi,  allegedly defrauded of N1m on June 23, 2016; and Abdullahi Babadisa, allegedly defrauded of N650,000 in January 2016.

The police prosecutor, Mr. Innocent Anyigor, told the court that Egbegbe and the others acted contrary to Section 8 of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006 and were liable to be punished under Section 1(3) of the same.

But when the charges were read to them on Monday, they all pleaded not guilty.

Justice Oguntoyinbo adjourned till April 26 for further proceedings in the case.

Tea Seller rapes 12-yr-old Boy to death in Niger

A 12-year-old boy, identified only as Aminu, has died after he was allegedly sexually abused by one Abubakar, a tea seller in Ngwayanma, in the Kontagora area of Niger State.


Abubakar, aka Maishai, had reportedly abducted Aminu from his parents’ house sometime in March, and held him hostage in his apartment.

He was alleged to have severally had anal sex with Aminu for two weeks, until the victim fell ill.

It was gathered that a neighbour, who got wind of Aminu’s abduction, raised the alarm and reported the case to the police at the Kontagora division. While Abubakar was arrested, the boy was admitted to a hospital, where he died.

A resident, who did not want his name in print, said the incident had left the parents of the victim traumatised, urging the police to ensure diligent prosecution of the suspect.

He said, “The boy’s parents suddenly discovered that he was missing and asked for his whereabouts from his friends, who denied knowledge of his whereabouts. Afterwards, a case of abduction was reported to the police. That was early March.

“A man alerted us two weeks later that he saw Aminu with Maishai (Abubakar). The suspect initially denied that the boy was in his custody. The boy was later found in his apartment in a critical condition. He looked tired and pale. Maishai confessed he had sex with him several times.

“The police were called to arrest him and Aminu was rushed to a hospital. He eventually died last week. The parents do not want to talk about the incident for now; they are devastated.”

A police source informed The Punch that Abubakar was arraigned in a Kontagora Chief Magistrate’s Court before the boy died, on two counts of abduction and unnatural offences, to which the defendant pleaded guilty.

“The unfortunate thing is that he was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with a fine of N30,000, which is ridiculous. The punishment generated a lot of outcry.

“But it is not the police’s fault. What the police can do is to appeal the case or file a new charge, now that boy is dead,” he added.

The Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Elkana James, confirmed Aminu’s death, saying that the case had been transferred to the command headquarters in Minna.

He added that the suspect would be re-arraigned on a fresh charge of culpable homicide.

He said, “Our legal team is reviewing the sentence. When the suspect was charged to court, the boy was not dead. So, he was charged with abduction and unnatural offences.

“He and the boy, aged 12, lived within the same vicinity. He abducted him for two weeks and abused him during the period.

“Now that the boy is dead, we have a liberty to charge him with culpable homicide. That will be an additional charge.

“He is still in prison, serving the one month’s imprisonment. Once the new charge is filed, he would be reproduced to take his plea.”

4 years after, killer of Kwara Police Commissioner exposed by victim’s ID card

Four years after a serving Commissioner of Police, Chinweike Asadu, was killed by robbers in Enugu, detectives, weekend, arrested a middle-aged man suspected to be the mastermind of the killing.

Mr. Asadu, who was in charge of Kwara State Command, was killed on March 2, 2013, while he was in the city en route to Port Harcourt for the annual police games. He was shot dead in front of his residence, while driving into the compound.


 Immediately after his death, then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, gave orders that his killers be fished out dead or alive, prompting a massive manhunt that led to the arrest of six suspects.

Before they were charged and remanded in court, the suspects confessed that their leader, who pulled the trigger, escaped from the scene. The search for the said leader led detectives to the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, and when they raided his house, there was exchange of gunfire, during which he escaped.

Police sources in Enugu said the suspected mastermind, identified simply as Somtochukwu, was arrested in a popular motor park with two others, last week, after they were involved in a bloody brawl with a trader.

 Vanguard learned that during interrogation at the Central Police Station in Enugu, the suspected mastermind flashed an identity card bearing the name of the dead Commissioner of Police, claiming to be one of his sons.

 His claim, according to sources, aroused the interest of the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, who is from the same area as the dead Commissioner. Further investigation revealed that he was telling lies. One of the children of late Asadu, who was quickly invited by the police, revealed that the identity card was in her father’s briefcase the day he was killed.

 The DPO alerted the state Commissioner of Police, Dan Mallam, about the development, who in turn informed the Inspector-General, Idris Ibrahim. The suspects, it was gathered, were immediately transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department, CIID, where detectives are interrogating them.

Contacted for comments over the development, Enugu State police spokesman, Ebere Amaraizu, said: “We have such a case, but I cannot give you the details now

. “The effort was part of the mandate given by the new Commissioner of Police, Dan Mallam, that all such unresolved cases must be properly investigated with a view to bringing the perpetrators to book.”

US President Donald Trump, who made a fortune in real estate before running for political office, has decided to donate his first-quarter salary of $78,333 to the National Park Service.

During the presidential campaign, Trump said he would donate his US$400,000 annual salary if he were elected.

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, whose agency oversees the 100-year-old protector of 417 national parks, monuments and other sites, said he was "thrilled" at Trump's decision.

"We are going to dedicate and put it against the infrastructure on our nation's battlefields," Zinke said, appearing alongside White House spokesman Sean Spicer at a daily briefing. "We are about $229 million behind in deferred maintenance on our battlefields alone," Zinke said.

Court Unfreezes Ozekhome’s Account

A Federal High Court in Lagos,Monday, described freezing of the Chamber’s account of human rights lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN, by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, as diabolical.

The trial judge, Justice Abdulazeeez Hanka, who upheld Ozekhome’s action, said the action of EFCC was illegal, unconstitutional and unorthodox, for freezing the lawyer’s Chambers account into which N75m was paid by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, as part payment of his professional fees for eight cases the lawyer is currently handling for the governor, his friends and aids.

 This development makes it the seventh time in 12 months that Ozekhome has defeated the EFCC in a judgement. In his judgment, Justice Hanka, wondered what right EFCC has to freeze a lawyer’s professional fees, despite it being paid from a Court -ordered defrozeen account.


 Holding that he cannot sit on appeal over the judgement of justice Taiwo who defreezed the account, nor over the proceedings of the Court of Appeal to which EFCC has since appealed, Justice Hanka agreed with the submissions of Ozekhome, who appeared for himself, and dismissed the submissions of EFCC Counsel, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo.

Vacating his earlier order obtained ex parte by the EFCC on February 7, 2017, the judge held that a party against whom an ex parte order has been made is perfectly entitled to have the order vacated and that such dues not amount to shielding his client from prosecution.

 The court also held that there is evidence that the payment of the professional fees was not proceeds of crime or of money laundering.

 After reviewing all submissions and authorities cited, the judge ordered the attached account defrozeen and made operational immediately. Ozekhome praised the judge for exhibiting rare courage and upholding the rule of Law and the fundamental rights of Nigerian citizens, even in the face of clear intimidation of the judiciary and browbeating of judges.
