Jimmy Kimmel Tearfully Reveals Son's Health Crisis

Jimmy Kimmel used his monologue Monday night to get both personal and political. The late night host got emotional as he revealed that his son William John Kimmel was born on April 21 with a serious heart issue. Those emotions then spilled into thoughts he offered about the importance of health coverage for people with pre-existing conditions and his feelings on health care policy.

During the 13-minute long monologue, Kimmel said his wife, Molly McNearney, had an easy delivery with their second child, whom they call "Billy."

"Six pushes, he was out," Kimmel said. "He appeared to be a healthy normal baby until about three hours after he was born."

Kimmel said his family was there in recovery at Cedars-Sinai Hospital as little Billy met his two-year-old sister, Jane.


Then "a very attentive nurse" discovered the baby had a heart murmur and appeared to be a bit purple in color.

Tests showed the baby wasn't getting enough oxygen into his blood. An X-ray ruled out an issue with Billy's lungs, which meant there was a problem with the newborn's heart, Kimmel said.

Immediately the room was flooded with doctors and machines, he recalled.

"It's a terrifying thing," Kimmel said, his voice breaking. "You know, my wife is back in the recovery room, she has no idea what's going on and I'm standing in the middle of a lot of worried looking people -- kind of like right now -- who were trying to figure out what the problem is."

Kimmel said a sonogram of the heart revealed the baby had been born with a heart condition in which a pulmonary valve was completely blocked and there was a hole in the wall between the left and right sides of his heart.

Three days later, Billy underwent open-heart surgery at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

"It was the longest three hours of my life," Kimmel said.

The proud dad then showed a photo of his son hooked up to monitors and IVs after the procedure, and a picture of his son smiling a few days later.
Kimmel joked, "Poor kid. Not only did he get a bad heart, he got my face."

Billy will have to undergo future surgeries, but is doing well, according to Kimmel, who thanked a list of people, including medical professionals, his staff, friends and family.

He also tweeted his thanks to well-wishers and those who donated to the hospital that treated Billy.

CNN refuses to air Trump's ''Fake Ad'

U.S. President Donald Trump’s supporters are accusing CNN of censorship for not airing an advertisement touting his accomplishments. The network said Tuesday it had rejected the ad because it was “false.”

The ad from Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign — he became a declared candidate on Jan. 19 — says, “

America has rarely seen such success” and lists a series of actions from the first 100 days of his presidency.“You wouldn’t know it from watching the news. America is winning, and President Trump is making America great again,” the ad says.

The faces of NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and CBS’ Scott Pelley are shown behind the phrase “fake news.”

CNN said it requested the campaign remove the “false graphic.”

“The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will be accepted only if that graphic is deleted,” CNN tweeted in response.

Michael Glassner, executive director of Trump’s campaign, said, “CNN is trying to silence our voice and censor our free speech” because it doesn’t fit the network’s narrative.

The campaign is refusing to change its ad, which is running on Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network. Trump’s team is spending $1.5 million to spread its message.

One of Trump’s campaign committees quickly dispatched a fundraising pitch tied to the ad flap. “Your support made it all po

APssible,” the email says before asking for contributions. “But the FAKE NEWS MEDIA refuses to tell the truth about our many achievements.”

Separately, the campaign changed another ad to remove an image of H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, wearing his army uniform as he shook hands with Trump after accepting the job.

Obasanjo's Wife Cries Out: "My Son's Coming Wedding An Occultic Ceremony"

Wife of ex-President, Taiwo Obasanjo has said that the wedding between her son, Olujunwo and Tope Adebutu, daughter of Baba Ijebu, is an occult ceremony which will result in feast of death.

In a statementon Tuesday, Obasanjo said that the May 11 and 13, 2017 chosen by both the Obasanjo and Adebutu family for their children’s wedding was compelled by Satan to lure unsuspecting numerous souls to a banquet of death that would herald in strange holocaust in the country.

Obasanjo who had earlier lost an attempt to use the court to stop the wedding, stated that her plea to family members on the evil consequences of the wedding date and the need to postpone it fell on deaf ears.

She also claimed that her daughter-in-law, Tope and and her mother, Rosemary Dacosta intended to use the wedding to prolong their life and renew their covenant with Satan.

She warned those attending the wedding that immediately after the wedding, there would be strange diseases, multiple road accidents, plane crashes, fire incidents and strange death across the country.

Obasanjo insisted that her son had been bewitched and cast under a spell and that all entreaty to make him see reason why the wedding should be postponed has failed.

She stated that on the day of the wedding, she will led a peaceful protest march at the venue since all her effort to stop the wedding seem to have failed.

” Please I want the whole world to know that I am not mad and I am not against my son’s wedding but the whole truth will be revealed by the almighty God who sees in secret all that is hidden. I have written to the Nigerian Police and the Military Police of my intention to peacefully have a protest as a citizen of Nigeria. Me and my people shall be peacefully singing, dancing and praising God,” she said.

In a separate letter to the Prelate, Methodist Church of Nigeria urging the church to consider rescheduling the wedding, Mrs. Obasanjo said she would continue to pray for the liberation of her son from the spell cast on him.

Federal Govt Pleads With TB Joshua Not To Leave Nigeria

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, has urged Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) not to relocate from the country. He pleaded with the internationally respected Prophet to come for dialogue with the government in a means of finding lasting solutions to the challenges the Church is experiencing in recent times.

The Minister made this assertion while fielding questions from the media during his attendance at the NATOP AGM for 2017 held at the Renaissance Hotel Ikeja Lagos by Marriott today.

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua declared his intention to leave Nigeria and relocate his ministry to the nation of Israel. Going by a write up from dailypost.ng, an online news platform, T.B. Joshua was speaking at his church service on Sunday 30th April 2017.

Joshua disclosed that he had just returned from the ‘Holy Land’ after holding meetings with three prominent Israeli mayors of Jerusalem, Tiberias and the Jordan Valley. TB Joshua said Israel offered him both land and facilities in an area around the biblical site of the Sea of Galilee for the Nigerian Pastor to organize meetings for international pilgrims.

“This is where my Father in Heaven came from – it’s non-negotiable,” Joshua explained, adding it was not a decision he undertook lightly. “It’s the best place for you to meet Prophet T.B. Joshua. After your healing, blessing and deliverance, you can move around all the spiritual monuments which will establish your faith,” he clarified.

Joshua said his decision to leave was not connected to the “persecution” he endured during his ministry. TB Joshua said the move would help people to “appreciate” what his ministry had been contributing to both the local economy and Nigeria’s international image.

“This is the most persecuted ministry in the world. Who are the people persecuting the ministry? My people, Africa. “That is why I choose to live a lonely life. If you want to see me, come to this church.

My Husband's Health Isn't As Bad As It's Been Speculated - Aisha Buhari

Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the wife of ailing President Muhammadu Buhari, has said her husband’s health is not as bad as some people have made people to believe.

Mrs. Buhari said this in a message on her Twitter handle, @aishambuhari, and her Facebook page, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday.

She said her husband had continued to carry out his constitutional responsibilities as the President without hindrance.

The President’s wife wrote, “I thank all Nigerians for their concern, love and prayers over my husband’s health status.

“I wish to inform everyone that his health is not as bad as it’s being perceived. Meanwhile, he continues to carry out his responsibilities during this period.

TROUBLE? North Korea Arrests US Professor

The tension is building. North Korea’s state media on yesterday confirmed the arrest of a US citizen who was lecturing in Pyongyang — the third American held in the country amid growing tensions with the Donald Trump leadership in Washington DC.

The man, Kim Sang-Duk [or Tony Kim], was arrested at the capital’s airport on April 22, 2017, for allegedly “committing criminal acts of hostility aimed to overturn the DPRK”, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said, using the country’s official name.

There are fears that Trump may soon conclude for a total showdown with North Korea.

Another NYSC Member Declared Wanted Over N30m Scam

A corps member serving in Zamfara, Fidelis Chalokwo, has been declared wanted by the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, over N30m school fees fraud involving 940 students.

It was learnt that the 940 students of the institution risked being restrained from sitting for their second semester examination.

The affected students were considered ineligible by the bursary department of the university to sit for the examination because they had reportedly not yet paid their school fees.

According to the Students Union Government on Tuesday, preliminary investigations into the N30m school fees fraud linked Chalokwo, a former student of the university, now performing his NYSC programme in Zamfara, of executing 70 per cent of the fraud.

“More than 70 per cent of the students swindled of their school fees said they paid to Fidelis Chalokwo, who is now performing his NYSC programme in Zamfara,” said Abubakar Lawan, the SUG Vice-President.

He added that Chalokwo who was wanted to account for his crime, claimed he had left the country. The SUG VP said the varsity believed the suspect was still in the country and in Zamfara.

The Dean, Student Affairs, MAUTECH, Yola, Dr. Haruna Lawan, said over N30m was involved, adding that most of the students, instead of using their Automated Teller Machine cards to make the payments, gave cash to the online vendors who turned out to be fraudsters.

He said the least of the school fees involved was N30,700, while other victims of the scams paid as much as N37,800 in school fees which never hit the school account.

However, Chalokwo, posting on his Facebook page, said the management of MAUTECH was trying to cover its ineptitude by using the 940 students to make up for its shortfall in revenues.

He dismissed any wrongdoing on his part.

He said, “The university should instead get the incompetent Flexisaf to account for the 940 failed registration rather than its current manhunt for me and my colleagues. But whatever you want to believe, please, note that my colleagues and I successfully paid your fees and registered for your courses for 2016 session. 

“Let the FLEXISAF ICT explain the rest. It is a pity that the school bursar or management or whosoever is encouraging the manhunt of students cannot have a deep introspection and get the incompetent FLEXISAF to account for whatever losses the school probably must have recorded. The dubious list of 940 failed registration is the worst conspiracy theory ever.”
