While this declaration was met with several reaction, actress Sarah Ebhota has seconded Nwadike's claims saying she had once caught a Nollywood actress with a charm hidden in her bag.

In a chat with Potpourri Ebhota said:

I willsay it is true that many actresses use charms to get movie roles because there’s this film ‘Juju wood’ that showed where actors and actresses use charms to get roles. And in some cases, like some locations I have been, you see the cast fighting themselves spiritually just because of a role. And I have once seen a charm in an actress’ bag at a location in Asaba. That’s what I have to say about that but as for me I strongly believe in God, he gave me the talent and He has been supporting me. God is my strength”, she said.

Asaba: S*x Worker Stabs Father Of Four To Death

The police in Delta State say they have arrested a commercial sex worker who allegedly stabbed her client to death during an argument at Destar Hotel, Asaba, the state capital, on July 18, 2017.

The spokesperson for the police command in the state, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, said on Friday in Asaba that the police responded to a distress call from the hotel after the incident. He said the suspect had been taken into custody. Reports said the deceased was a father of four.

In a statement, Aniamaka said, “A day after the incident, the ‘C Division’ in Asaba carried out preliminary investigation on the case and transferred it to Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“As I speak to you, homicide detectives have commenced full investigation into the case with a view to unravelling what actually transpired between the suspect and the victim to establish culpability.”

News Agency of Nigeria reported that the hotel had been deserted following the incident, and that all attempts to speak with its manager was unsuccessful as he was said to have travelled out of Asaba.

A staff of the hotel noted that the incident happened around 10.45 p.m., thus, nobody could actually say what led to the fracas.

The report said the few sex workers in the hotel lamented that the incident had impacted their business negatively, while describing it as horrible and unfortunate.

Evans WIll Be Arraigned Soon -IGP

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, said on Friday that the notorious kidnapper, Chukwudidumeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans, would be charged to court soon.

Idris attributed the delay in Evans’ prosecution to police investigations to track down his accomplices within and outside the country.

Evans had raked in millions of dollars as ransoms paid to him by his victims’ families before his arrest on June 10, 2017, in one of his mansions at Magodo, Lagos State.

The IG, who spoke at a lecture which centred on proffering solutions to security challenges in Lagos, expressed worry at the rate at which the youth were venturing into kidnapping.

He reiterated the need for the establishment of special courts to ensure the speedy trial of suspected kidnappers.

Idris said, “Evans will be charged to court very soon. This is a man who has over the years been involved in kidnapping, collecting money in millions of dollars and harassing Nigerians from the various parts of the country.

“What we are doing now is to ensure that we conduct thorough investigations so that anybody involved will be brought to book.

“It seems kidnapping is becoming attractive to the youth. The more we arrest, the more they are coming up. But I believe that with special courts, this will be addressed.”

He said plans were underway to recruit more policemen to effectively pursue the principle of community policing.

APC Admits Things Are Difficult Economically

The All Progressives Congress has joined Nigerians to admit that things are economically difficult in the country.

However, it said the diversification efforts of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration would be evident in a few years, saying the country would be counted as one of the industrial power houses in Africa.

National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, who stated this in Abuja on Thursday evening, also said the present administration was building a new economic model which he said would be sustainable, production-based and would diversify from oil to agriculture, solid minerals and other viable sectors.

Odigie-Oyegun said this at the party’s national secretariat when he received political leaders from Delta Central Senatorial District, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC. The defectors were led by a former Commissioner in the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission, Chief Johnson Boro.

Other defectors who came with him were the immediate past PDP Chairman, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Chief Francis Aguonigho; Chief Sleek Oshare; Chief Isaiah Kekeje, Chief Mathew Kwode, Chief Robert Ojo, Mr. Sunny Ogbududu, Mr. David Edonor, Mr. Saturday Nukueye and Chief Charles Otaiye.

Oyegun said, “Economically, things are difficult; there is no question about it. But in spite of that, people of your quality sat down and still want to join the boat because you have seen the future and you know the future belongs to a changed country. A country that produces, not only consumes.

“In the last 16 years of previous administrations, we just consumed. Thank God this nation brought President Buhari at the point it was about to collapse and all we are doing today is putting the pieces back together again.

“It is a difficult experience and as a result of that our people are going through some hardship. But there is no question at all that you can see the silver lining that is on the way.

“By the end of this year, we will be net exporters of rice. Today we have started formally to export yam. Today we are about certain that all the grains in this country can be produced locally. These are all parts of the building blocks towards the Nigeria that we foresee in another year or two.”

Rivers: Couple Lost 4 Kids To Kerosene Explosion

A couple, who reside in Rivers satate are mourning the loss of their 4 kids foillowing a kerosene accident.
Mr. and Mrs. Ademola Danaogun's home was said to have been rocked with multiple explosion due to storage of adulterated kerosene in their one-roomed apartment. The wife was blamed for the sad incident.

Mrs. Chinyere, told Southern City News that Mrs. Danaogun had on July 28, 2017, came home with kerosene suspected to be adulterated,

“That night, at about 9.30pm, after she returned home, all her children were inside. While cooking, she and a neighbour began to quarrel. But her husband, who was sitting outside appealed to her to stop quarrelling. I think it must be the fire from the stove that must have spread to the where the kerosene was stored.
“The kerosene was stored in many nylon bags and kept at veranda. Maybe, while she was quarrelling, she never knew that the stove was close to her. She was must have unconsciously kicked the cooking stove and the fire got close to the stored kerosene.
“Her husband, out of fear, immediately told the children to remain indoors until they quench the fire, not knowing that the kerosene had already spilled into the room. The children were burnt to death before any help could come,” she said,

Most Of The Nollywood Actors We Have Today Are Homosexuals - Jude Orhorha

Veteran actor  Jude Orhorha, in a new interview with Saturday Beats have stated that many of the prominent entertainers in the game now are not on his level.According to the actor, many of those prominent today got there via some other shady means.According to Jude, since stepping into the industry he has been approached by cougars and gays.

“I know what some actors and actresses did to gain the fame that they are enjoying now. Some of the men in the industry are gay while the women sleep around and that is why I am not bothered about where I am today. When it is your time, it is your time. Some entertainers are opportunist while others are born lucky. Omotola was born lucky from day one; her first character was a lead role. Some people marry for money and not love. That is why I am not really bothered because some of the guys are gigolos. They do not make their money from the movie industry but from the gigolo business. I cannot do such because I have a name to protect. In the 80s when I started this business, none of them was anywhere to be found. I have seen it all and I refuse to join them. Gays have approached me but I declined their offers because my anus is an exit point and not an entrance. The same thing with sugar mummies but I refused to accept their proposal because I cannot sleep with married women. I believe in karma. If it does not happen to you, it would happen to your generation.”

He added that when he started out as an actor, the profession was not fetching as much money as it does now.
“How much were we being paid in the past compared to what we are earning now? When we started, the money was not really there and that is why we were more interested in the show and not the business because there was no money.
“There is another thing called ‘packaging’ and that is what I am against. I am not saying that entertainers should not package but they should do so according to their means. Some ‘package’ to the extent that they borrow people’s cars and clothes. It just doesn’t make sense. Some people ‘package’ till they run into debts and then when the money comes, they clear the debts,” the actor said.

Speaking with Saturday Beats, Kunle is famously known as Frank Donga said he is a Masters degree holder and had a job when he was shooting the series, however he has always been fascinated about unemployment.

In his words:

“I have degrees in Agriculture. My first degree was in Animal Science and I have a Master’s degree in Animal Genetics. The Frank Donga Interview series online about a clumsy young man looking for job in Nigeria became a reality because I am passionate about unemployment. The truth is that I was gainfully employed when I started The Interview series online. I have always been passionate about young people who go to school, spend about five or six years, graduate and not have anything to do. I am very passionate about unemployment. When I did The Interview series, I was employed but I just wanted young Nigerians to be able to cope during job interviews because in reality, young people actually freak out during job interviews as well as visa application interviews. I just did the skits for people to know that they should be relaxed during these interviews.”

Sheila Wanjiku Kibinge, who is a lecturer in the US and also a Ph.D. student, was handed the sentence on Tuesday by High Court Judge Jessie Lessit, Kenya's Daily Nation reported.

“The prosecution, led by State Prosecutor Evelyn Onunga, has proved beyond reasonable doubt that you purposed to kill your husband although you allege you were both kidnapped the night your husband was executed,” Justice Lessit said.

The judge dismissed her defence that her husband was killed by kidnappers.

The judge said that the murdered her husband by shooting him in the head, neck and chest in Gitaru village, Kikuyu, Kiambu County

“The number of shots fired at the deceased, Leonard Kibinge Kiruri on the night of April 14, 2014, establishes pre-meditated malice aforethought,” Justice Lessit stated.

Sheila, however pleaded for leniency, but the judge said,

“there is only one verdict provided for in the law and that is “to suffer death in the manner prescribed by the law.”
