The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) command in Borno, on Sunday, said it arrested 10 ward heads in Maiduguri over alleged land grabbing and swindling of the public. The corps Commandant, Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri. He said most of the ward heads had perpetrated more than five land fraud on unsuspected persons with the connivance of some ministry staff. He explained that “the culprits normally take advantage of people who don’t always check up on their plots of land.
“Whenever they notice that a land owner is not always around, they make fake papers and sell the plots to unsuspected individuals.
“There are instances where one plot of land is being sold to five or six different persons. What they do is that they usually change their names during the fraudulent transactions.
“We are doing whatever we can to get back the money of the people they defrauded and take the suspected ward heads to court to face the law.”
Abdullahi said the Dispute Resolution Department of the NSCDC command in Borno recorded 38 cases of land grabbing perpetrated by ward heads in Maiduguri in two months. The commandant, therefore, advised the public to be wary of persons disguising as land owners as some were just out to defraud people.

I went to go lie next to him as I usually do. When I did that, he told me to go close the door. He told me to take off my pants. Then he told me to come under the covers with him and he started caressing me.”She continued, telling how the alleged rape reoccurred, how Jelani blamed her for the rape saying she led him on, adding that she would be taken away from her mother if she told on him. She added:“We would have s3x in his bedroom, in my bedroom, in the basement. He had mentioned I was brushing myself on him and that I wanted it to happen…He used lubricant and told me to breathe properly and not to clench so it wouldn’t hurt so much..[but] it hurt. I told him to stop and tried to push him away.”The child went on to tell how Jelani made her pose “on my forearms on the bed and my pants were pulled down” , that it was at this time her 8-year-old brother caught them. This shocking detail comes days after the expert called in by the witness said she could not match Jelani Maraj’s DNA to the semen found on the 13 year-old girl’s pajamas. However, the trial continues, and if Maraj, who is facing multiple felony counts, is found guilty, he can get up to life in prison.

Singer, Olajuwonlo Iledare, aka Jaywon, is still basking in the love he has been getting from fans over his latest single, Joromi.Speaking with Sunday Scoop about what it feels like running his own record label, Jaywon said, “People always have different opinions but you need to understand that while I was in Kennis Music, I was also spending my money to promote myself as well. It’s just about me doing what I know how to do best. In whatever I do, I always make sure that I give my best, and it has been working for me. “Truly, there are challenges, but it’s the same thing everywhere in the world. Getting the right people to work with, access to funds, and things like that. However, I don’t really consider those things as serious challenges; I just see them as a phase that I must pass through.”On what he misses about his former record label, he said, “Kennis Music was a big family where we had about eight artistes and the CEO, who was like a father to us all. I really miss that part; I miss the fatherly love that I got from Baba Kenny Ogungbe. Having lost my dad since I was a kid, I saw a father in him and that’s one of the reasons our relationship worked to that extent.”
