Barely a week after 20 people were hospitalised and 2 died in Jos, two more have died in Makurdi, Benue State after drinking salt to prevent Ebola, Dr Joseph Kumba, Director, Public Health in the Ministry of Health and Human Services confirmed the report to the Sun.
The Medical Director of Ushakaa Hospital Dr Innocent Gbillah who did not disclose the names said it was a male and a female who were admitted on Saturday..
“We did everything possible to help the victims but to no avail. One of them died on Tuesday at 7 pm while the other gave up the ghost at 5 am Wednesday.” he said.
