Chief Olu Falae has been flown to United Kingdom after complications in his health. Falae was said to have developed complications following the horrible situation he was subjected to when he was abducted recently. The 77 years old politician left the country yesterday and may not be back until next month.
Falae, who is the National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) was kidnapped by suspected Fulani herdsmen recently while on his farm in Ilado in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state, and was later released after four days in their custody.
It was learnt that the health of the former Finance Minister deteriorated after he was released by his kidnappers.
Although Falae was said to have been treated by medical experts in the country, it was gathered that his resolve to travel out for medical treatment followed his recent health challenges.
