Hot temper is a bad thing, and if not checked can land someone is serious trouble. Unfortunately, it has landed a middle aged woman in big trouble could see her spend the rest of her life in prison.
46-year-old Olufunmilola Ogunmuyinwa is said to have always been at loggerheads with her husband, Dare. The accused is said to have moved back into her father’s home in the Mushin area of Lagos after constant quarrels with her husband.
The husband was said to have paid her a visit in her father's house, in a bid to settle their quarrel, but something terrible happened.
She has been arrested and arraigned in court after allegedly stabbing her husband to in her father's house.
She was alleged to have used a sharp glass to stab him on the neck in the course of another quarrel that broke out, when he visited her, which lead to a fight. Efforts to rush the man to the hospital yielded no fruits as he was said to have died on the way. Really sad!
Mrs Olufunmilola who was arraigned before an Ebute Metta Magistrate’s Court for murder, could not take her plea as the police prosecutor, Cousin Adams, applied that she should be remanded in prison pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The presiding magistrate, K. O. Ogundare thus adjourned the case to the June 9, 2014.
