There was anxiety in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday over the health status of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana, with many spreading the rumour of his death.
The social media was awash with the rumour. However, later in the day, the monarch spoke with a Punch correspondent, putting an end to the rumour.
When given the telephone, Oba Odulana prayed for Punch correspondent and told him that he was feeling better.
“God will be with you and show concern in your life. He will bless you and your family. I continue to pray for the Ibadan people and Nigeria. I am alright,” said the king.
