I just hope that very soon our leaders will sit down and think straight. We have so many young men in their 20s and 30s without any job to do. How will these people feed? Crime is their ONLY option. Think!
As you read this, the immediate past president of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Okey Wali, SAN, has been kidnapped. Confirming the incident, the NBA in a statement on Saturday night said:
"Okey Wali is a man of peace who has not only contributed immensely to the enthronement of rule of law and protection of human rights, but also to the development of our Nation. It is therefore saddening that he should become a kidnap victim. This sad event is yet another reminder of the state of insecurity in which all Nigerians live. We passionately appeal to his abductors for his immediate and safe release to his family."
He was kidnapped in Port Harcourt on Saturday October 11th around 9pm.
