Jobless Senators Who Accompanied Saraki To CCT

The trial of the Senate President Bukola Saraki continued with the first prosecution witness alleging that the defendant failed to declare houses and the defence counsel cross-examining the witness.

About 13 senators accompanied the Senate president to the proceedings in solidarity with him.

Many Nigerians have been demanding that the names and pictures of the senators who accompanied Saraki to the trials be published, saying it is not right for them to abandon their primary assignment to spend over six hours in the courtroom everyday.

A Punch reader by the name Abraham said, “As requested by all, we need a list of senators in attendance, including pictures, for sure we did not vote for them with the intention to run down this country, so the list is needed as a matter of urgency.”

Stephen Akin, (@akin) who also commented along the same line said, “Pls Punch, names and picture of all the jobless senators in attendance.”

OMO NAIJA , another reader also asked if these senators are representing people of their constituency or Saraki? “I’m just wondering. I don’t know why senators would leave their job to be sitting in the courtroom for six hours day to day. Nigeria is truly a crime zone. SHAMELESS SENATORS.”

Here are the names and pictures of some of the senators who attended the proceedings at the CCT with the embattled Bukola Saraki; Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Kabir Gaya, Shabah Lafiaji, Samuel Anyanwu, Stella Oduah, Danjuma Goje, Dino Melaye, Ali Ndume and Tayo Alasoadura.
