Lawyer withdraws certificate suit against Buhari, alleges threat to life

Mr. Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe, a legal practitioner and a litigant who is in court seeking President Muhammadu Buhari's disqualification over lack of requisite certificate has withdrawn the suit abruptly.
Ahaaiwe sought the disqualification of Buhari saying the President he did not sit for the Cambridge West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1961 as he claimed.
However, he filed the notice of discontinuance, dated June 27, and did not give any reason for withdrawing the case from court.
There are speculations that the recent action may have been prompted by the subtle threats on him to withdraw the case from court.
He had alleged that his family and friends were being threatened over the case and was concerned for his safety
It is almost certain that the case, which would be heard today (Thursday) before the trial judge, Justice Ademola Adeniyi, will be dismissed.
