Future says it didn't take him long to have sex with Ciara

While promoting his latest album that dropped last week, singer Future in an interview with Sway In The Morning radio show, opened up about some pretty private details about his relationship with his pregnant fiancée, Ciara. He told Sway it didn't take him long to get in the sack with the singer.

Nah, because it’s in the past. You got to think about it, I got kids. So, anytime my kids are running around the house….what if she felt like that about my kids? And they are in my life. Her past is no longer her future, I’m her future.

So, when she sees my kids that are always gonna be there, they’re a reflection of me and can always remind her of their mothers. It’s just something that you have to get over.

On why he’s marrying her when he didn’t marry any of his other babymamas:
I felt like at the place that I was moving and being in the music industry, she understood me. For me to be focused, somebody has to understand me. Understand my grind and understand my passion. We share the same passion…share the same love interest for this music. She understands. She understands when you’re not always there.

Some people, when they grow with you, it’s just hard for them to give that up.

The Truth About The 234 Abducted Chibok School Girls

Over and above every act of irresponsibility to the nation and others in Nigeria, nothing tells of the extent of the erosion of our values like our collective attitude to our children. We are a country that has currently lost every capacity for shock. Nothing shocks Nigerians again, not even the abduction of over 200 girls from the GovernmentGirls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State and the inability to find them after two weeks. It is a sad commentary that should make us all bow our heads in penitence. Apparently, we are a country with a dead soul.

Imagine thepathetic drama that greeted the kidnap of those poor girls who wanted nothing more than a future for themselves and their generations. We did not even know the number of the girls that were in the school let alone the ones that were kidnapped. Not even the principal of the school, Mrs. Asabe Kwambura, could say with any finality. That to my mind is the levity with which people take responsibilities in Nigeria.

There was so much confusion that one was even wondering if anyone was kidnapped at all.

(A former Minister of Aviation, Mrs. Kema Chikwe, had even drawn the ire of many for asking for the photos of the schoolgirls if indeed they were abducted.) First, we learnt that 200 girls were abducted, then 129, then 16 escaped, then another 14 returned. So much muddling until the parents association in the school came out to tell the nation that an estimated 270 people were kidnapped out which 39 had found some way of escape. That was one week within which the school, the state government, the military and the Federal Government were beating around the bush. This Chibok event showed how much Nigerians have no one to care for them explicating the popular saying among the citizens that “everyone for themselves God for us all.” I cannot stop myself from asking why security could be so lax at this school or any school for that matter. And why even as we speak no one has owned up to their negligence in this matter.

While the armed forces and the school bickered over the truth about the number of girls who may have escaped and those in the custody of their captors, parents resorted to self-help. Thousands of them went into the Sambisa forest on motor bikes seeking to rescue their children but how much can these poor, untrained parents achieve is left to be seen.

But that is not exactly different from the way we do things in Nigeria. People are left to fend for themselves in Nigeria. Government cares about no one. You build your own home, provide your own water, find a way to bring power into your home, struggle to feed yourself and family, ensure that the road leading to your home is motorable and at the end of the day die on your own mostly without being noticed by the state that should ordinarily record your death.

But then again, it is not just government that does not care about us. We do not even care about ourselves. Nigerians have over the years perfected the art of selfishness. What Pastor Taiwo Odukoya describes as the spirit of “me, I and mine” Most Nigerians are satisfied with themselves once everything is rosy. They give no damn what happens to the man next to them. One very simple example of this is our attitude in traffic. I have noticed that the average driver on Nigerian roads just wants to get to their destination, how they get there, they don’t care neither do they consider the need of another person to arrive at their own destination. So if the first man cannot have his way in traffic, it gives him great joy to see that no one else does. He could block traffic and hold everyone to ransom until some sensible person, or not so sensible person with authority, usually in uniform, comes around to force us to do what we should have done from the outset. We are a nation used to living our lives solo. It is the same reason why people get into positions of authority and steal the money that belongs to everyone just for the comfort of themselves and their families. It is the life to which we have all submitted to.

However, we just cannot deal with this Chibok tragedy in our usual individualistic way. Do we even understand what the loss of 234 teenage girls, let alone girls who are determined to get educated, means to the future of this country? Girls who in spite of every danger and traditional encumbrances are just on the verge of completing secondary education? Do we understand that these girls are Nigeria’s version of Pakistan’s Malala Yousafzai and that these girls who already have attained secondary education represent a whole generation of people who can change this country?

This is why Nigerians from all across the country must come together to fight for the release of these girls in every way we can. While I do not expect the security agencies to expose their plans for the rescue of these girls, I solemnly wish that some serious intelligence work is going on. I also hope that they are receiving utmost possible cooperation from and working from local authorities including the state government and the parents.

Parents from all over Nigeria must come together to appeal to the abductors of these girls to release them unconditionally, as this is one of the most heinous infringements anyone could commit against humanity. But even while military efforts are going on, we must appeal to the sentiments of these people knowing that the girls are currently at their mercy.

Above all, we must pray! I know this is not a popular thing among Nigerians but I see no more time that prayers can be more effectual than now. No one knows where these girls are, the conditions under which they are held and the temperament of their captors. But those who believe in God would agree that God knows. God is not only able to give divine wisdom to the security forces in the compulsory task of rescuing these girls, He is able to confuse the understanding of the people holding them and create opportunities for the girls to escape.

That aside, it is shocking that the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has not found her voice in all of this. This is the time for her to rally forces for a multi –dimensional approach to solving this dilemma. The responsibility of her position is not just about adorning expensive jewelry and flying all over the world in presidential jets, it is about standing up for lives of the people of this country, especially women and children. I am also wondering if Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State has a wife. We have not heard a word from her since this unfortunate incident. I do not even understand how anyone is able to sleep at this period of great national crisis. It is a time that we must all do something.

I was told of an 83-year-old woman somewhere in Lagos State who has embarked on fasting and prayer on behalf of the kidnapped girls since the news broke. This is the attitude that we all should adopt without exception. This is what being human is about.

Government at all levels, parents, the clergy, the media, indeed everyone must come together to condemn and fight this abominable crime which is damning not just on Nigeria of today but the future of the country. We must find the soul of this country again!

Boko Haram Has More Sense Than This Jonathan’s Leadership ––Iyabo Obasanjo's New Letter

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of President Olusegun Obasanjo has written another open letter to the leadership of the Boko Haram sect. Although she accused those in President Goodluck Jonathan’s inner circle of hindering the resolution of the crisis posed by the Boko Haram insurgency, she faulted the insurgents for betraying the true essence of revolutionaries in directing their venom against the lower class.

"I am moved to write about the current state of affairs in Nigeria. My first inclination was to write to the President but since all letters to him seem to elicit only open derision and even more stupidity from his inner circle, I have decided to address my letter to a group also currently causing Nigerians a lot of pain and agony that may actually have more sense than the country’s leadership."

Dear Boko Haram

The fact that you have taken arms against the Nigerian state is no surprise. The question should be why haven’t more young people organised themselves against the state?

Even the fact that your motto, ‘Against Western Education’ is in a way reasonable given the fact that your leader, martyred by the Nigerian state had university education and found no reasonable employment but had to resort to thuggery for politicians to survive, as the story goes.

He, like millions of Nigerian young people and college graduates, seeing a blighted future are doing anything to survive. They have become opportunistic desperados, almost sub?human as the stepping on and trampling on each other to death at the Immigration employment debacle indicates.

Where you’re wrong

Where I think you have gotten it wrong are in two areas, if you can pardon my giving you some unsolicited advice. First, your victims are becoming more and more the people you should be attracting to your side. Take the Nyanya bus massacre.

The people that live in Nyanya are usually the clerks, messengers and other lowly office workers that live out in relative slums compared to the rest of Abuja and take public transportation to work to receive monthly salaries they barely get by on.

Consult any written work of successful revolutionaries be it French, Russian, Cuban or even the more recent uprooting of communism in Eastern Europe, to succeed you need the people to be on your side. Right now you are not achieving this.

You are targeting the group you need most. This does not make for a successful revolution but you are making yourselves into nuisances to the people and in the end while the state, including its military machine may not be able to conquer you, your downfall will be alienating these potential allies, i.e. the oppressed and down-trodden.

Secondly, the abduction of girls. It must be hard to stay in the bush as all male revolutionaries fending for yourselves with no sexual gratification.

Cuban example

But again, reading up on past bush revolutionaries like the Cuban, for example, indicates that they were able to convince some women to go voluntarily with them into the bush.

Somehow, revolutionary zeal does not include sexual abstinence and cooking and cleaning by yourselves.

Reading must be hard for you since you hate education but the past is a good guide to the future and if you can’t read, you are done for in organizing or succeeding in most endeavours as most things have been done before and reading up on how it was done can only serve as good guidance.

The parents of the girls you abducted are just trying to give their daughters a chance at having successful lives. Without an education there is very little anyone can achieve in this early 21st century.

I know living in the bush; it must still seem like the dark ages but the truth is that even with the lack of jobs and opportunities for young people in Nigeria currently, it is still better to be educated.

An educated university graduate who was selling food from a food cart ignited the Arab Spring which was spread by use of the internet which is hard to use if you are not educated.

There are writings, videos and stuff you post on the internet which I haven’t seen. But think of it, you can only post and use the internet because some of you have some education.

But in the end you have no control over the distribution of your advertising and recruiting information because as you may know, the internet is really part of the western system you despise.

Why you’re succeeding

The truth is that you have succeeded because the Nigerian state has failed to provide jobs and opportunity for its young people who you can now easily recruit. By disrupting education, you are adding to the burden of the people.

You may say, but how about our religious issue? Let the truth be told, just as there are indigenous southern Muslims, there are indigenous northern Christians even from your epicentre in Borno State and just as you are zealous for your religion, I don’t see them giving up their religion either.

The reasonable solution to this impasse would be for you to advocate for everyone to be able to practice their religion as they see fit with respect for each other’s beliefs.

Remember, a couple of centuries ago, all of our ancestors below the Sahara were all animists worshipping various ‘gods.’

This ‘One God’ — us against them situation — is a relatively recent one in our human history and you will be advised to let the originators fight it out and let your people be.

Kenyans are scared that this booty can cause accidents, infidelity and traffic log jams. Corporal Linda Okello caused controversy amongst her colleagues for wearing a skirt that was allegedly “too tight.” She was reprimanded by her superiors as a result of her “inappropriate” dressing, because according to them, it violated their dress code.  Some photos of Okello in the skirt were posted on the internet, sparking a media scandal in Kenya.

Meanwhile,  corporal Linda has reportedly explained that the skirt was actually part of the official uniform, but she had gained a bit of weight, which made the skirt appear much tighter than it already was.
"we have advised the police officer not to wear the skirt again and we have issued her a new set of uniform so that the uniform can depict us decently,” said Okello’s boss, James Mugera.

Na wa o! PUNCH Metro learnt that the graduate of Ekiti State Polytechnic [above] was stabbed to death by a barber identified only as Yemi, during an argument that broke out at the viewing centre on Lamina Street, Egbe, Lagos State where he went to watch the UEFA Champions League semi-final match between Chelsea Football Club and Atletico Madrid.


tHis friend told PUNCH Metro that passions were high at the viewing centre as most of the Chelsea fans were desperate to see their team qualify.

It was learnt that during the match, Saheed stood up and Yemi shouted at him and told him to sit down as he was blocking him from viewing the match on the screen.

An elderly man was said to have cautioned Yemi against shouting, but Yemi insulted the elderly man.

A friend to the deceased, Muyideen Waheed, told our correspondent that an argument then ensued between the barber and Saheed.

He said, “Yemi was shouting and one elderly man told him to keep quiet, but he shouted the man down. Saheed then cautioned against shouting at an elderly man. Yemi attacked him.

“The owner of the centre pushed both Yemi and Saheed out of the place and locked them out.”

It was learnt that once they got outside, Yemi picked up a bottle from a nearby pub and stabbed Saheed.

It was learnt that as Saheed ran for his life, Yemi chased him and then stabbed him in the face.

Waheed told PUNCH Metro that when some of the viewers came out, they saw the deceased’s lying in a pool of blood.

He said they rushed him to two hospitals, but he was rejected.

It was learnt that after killing the deceased, Yemi fled to his father’s home, but his father alerted the police and he was arrested by policemen from the Ikotun Police Division.

A spokesperson for the Nigeria Police force, Frank Mba, has said that 12 persons are confirmed dead in a new bomb blast that ripped through a taxi park in Nyanya, Abuja, about 8:50PM Nigerian time.

Mr. Mba  who spoke to reporters at the scene of the blast also said 19 people were  injured in the attack.

See Popular Pastor Caught With Gun During Police Stop and Search

The Commandant-general of Mission for African Chaplaincy, a Christian organisation in Lokoja, Kogi State, Sam Keddy Balogun, has been arrested by the police for illegally possessing a firearm.

The pastor was arrested along with his bodyguard with a Toyota Hilux van painted in military colour, which registration number was concealed. The police said it was being used to hoodwink unsuspecting members of the public into believing that the organisation is a paramilitary organisation recognised by law.

Parading both men before journalist at the police headquarters in Lokoja, the Kogi State police commissioner, Seidu Madawaki said his men also arrested one Saliu Mohammed who claims to be Pastor Balogun’s bodyguard with a short gun.

The commissioner said Saliu confessed that the pistol was given to him by his boss who he said, was the commandant general of the Mission for African Chaplaincy.

He said a search was conducted on the house and two cartridges were recovered with one other already expended...

It was gathered that at public functions in the state, members of the organisation kit up like military personnel and usurp the functions of security agencies and harass innocent citizens with their military camouflage.

CP Madawaki said when police detectives led the suspect to his boss’ house; the boss admitted that he was the one who gave the gun to Mohammed to be protecting him with. Other items recovered in his house were detectives’ gadgets and some paramilitary uniforms.

The commissioner said the painting of their vehicle in military colour and the concealing of the number plate portray an intent for criminality, adding that the activities of the chaplaincy had constituted a threat to the state as thousands of people including the jobless and civil servants had been brainwashed to join the organisation as a paramilitary organisation in the country.

In his confession, Pastor Balogun said he acquired the guns illegally and begged with the police to forgive him. He claims he and his organisation has been organising series of prayer sessions for the police, the military and other security agencies. Funny man!
