An Ikorodu Customary Court on Friday in Lagos granted the prayers of a 48-year-old businessman for the dissolution of his marriage after he confirmed that his second child was born for another man.
The Court President, Mrs Omolara Abiola, dissolved the 10-year-old marriage having confirmed through a DNA test that the husband is not the father of the second child.
Consequently, the court grant the now free husband the custody of the first child after being confirmed by the paternity test that he is the father.
It would be recalled that the husband, who resides at Baiyeku, Igbogbo in Ikorodu, had on. November 19, 2015, filed a petition against his wife, Sherifat, citing infidelity and denial of second child paternity.
“My wife is into infidelity act and I have caught her severally. One day, I took the two children whom she claimed were mine for a DNA test without her consent. From the result, I discovered that the second child was not my own," he revealed.
The wife had denied, saying she has never slept with another man since getting married to her husband and begged the court to save her "marriage". But today we know the truth. What a wife!
The court ruled that both parties should go their separate ways in peace. Hmmm!
