150 sub-saharan refugees and migrants were rescued from their overcrowded boat off the coast of Libya while trying to cross the Mediterranean ocean into Italy by a Spanish NGO’s boat.
The children lost their mother in Libya on their way to Europe.
A leading migration group says more than 3,000 people have died trying to cross the Mediterranean this year, nearly a 60-percent increase from this time in 2015.
