There's Crisis In APC, We Are Hiding It – Deputy Spokesman

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, says a festering crisis, brewing in the ruling party has the potential of destroying it.

Frank said this at a media briefing in Abuja on Thursday, where he claimed that there were internal disputes in the APC despite the attempts of its leaders to project an image of cohesion.

He said he had warned of a crisis in the Bayelsa State chapter of the APC before and after the governorship poll in the state, adding that his warning was not taken seriously.

His words: “I spoke about my state in Bayelsa, people ignored me. I’m speaking again; it would happen soon at the national level that these things we are hiding have started already.

“If anybody should tell you there’s no division even at the national level, they’re telling lies. I can tell you there are issues; there are very critical issues.

“The issue of the Senate President is still lingering; nobody is saying anything at the national level, but I tell you, any Nigerian that knows will tell you very clearly that with the body language of our party as of today, if we are not careful, we are going to lose our popularity.

“It will be a very big disgrace that we have hands that are not competent at the centre to harmonise the aggrieved persons and make us to move forward.

“So, there is crisis in the party. We have too many divisions right now within the party. So, I won’t be scared to speak; that is my personal opinion and I’ve spoken again and I will continue to speak out.”

But the National Secretary of the party, Mai Mala Buni, in a statement late on Thursday dismissed Frank’s assertions, stated that the allegations were “bogus” and should be disregarded.

Buni added, “The bogus and misleading allegations are unnecessary distractions to the party’s resolve to fully support the President Buhari administration to deliver on the motley promises to Nigerians.

“The APC national leadership remains united and solidly committed to the task of bringing cohesion to the party at all levels.

“Recently, the APC held its National Caucus and National Executive Committee meetings where positive and far-reaching decisions were collectively taken by the party’s leadership to drive the party forward."

Sources say Timi Frank want to occupy Lai Mohammed position by force, but the leaders have refused.

Driver, conductor rape and rob Lagos job seeker(Photo)

The police in Lagos have arrested a commercial bus driver, identified only as Akeem, and his conductor, Sodiq, for allegedly robbing and raping a 22-year-old lady in the Costain, Iponri area of the state.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Akeem and Sodiq, along with two others still at large, had picked the victim, Mercy (pseudonym) from the Obalende area, and were supposed to head for the Victoria Island where the victim reportedly had a job interview.

It was gathered that Mercy, who hails from Otupko, Benue State, and holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education, on March 10, had been called by a friend to attend the job interview.
It was learnt that the suspects allegedly diverted to the Costain, Iponri area, assuring their victim that they were only taking a different route to the island.

When the bus got to Costain, under the bridge, the four allegedly robbed Mercy of her Automated Teller Machine card, her purse and other documents. The suspects also allegedly raped the lady before driving off.

It was learnt that after the robbery, the victim went to report the matter at the Iponri Police Division.
PUNCH Metro gathered that the suspects were not found until last Tuesday when members of a vigilance group in the area, who were also informed about the matter, nabbed the driver and his conductor and handed them over to the police.
Speaking with our correspondent, Mary said the suspects confused her because she was new in Lagos and she was not familiar with most of the roads.
She said, “On that day, I was at Obalende when my friend called me that there was a job interview on the Victoria Island. So I entered a bus heading to the area. Not long after, three men entered as well. The driver drove towards CMS; when I inquired, the other passengers said I should be calm as he was still heading for the Island. I thought he was trying to avoid the traffic.
“When we got to the bridge in Costain, they stopped and they collected my purse, mobile phone, ATM card, PIN and N2,000 cash on me. After they left, I told my elder brother that some men had attacked me.
“He came and we both went to the Iponri division to make a report, but the robbers had withdrawn N120,000 through the ATM.”
An executive of the vigilance group, Ishola Musbau, said,
“The case of a jobseeker being raped and robbed by miscreants was brought to our attention. It took us two weeks to fish out Akeem and Sodiq, and the victim identified them.
“The driver and the conductor were apprehended at a hideout in Itumara, Costain, where they usually gathered for robbery operations.”
Our correspondent gathered that the police were still hunting other fleeing members of the gang.
A police source told PUNCH Metro that Akeem and Sodiq had already been charged to a magistrate’s court.

'Pastor Adeboye is a Ritualists' - Kemi Olunloyo

Kemi Olunloyo the daughter of former Oyo State governor is back again with her controversial statements; this time she called Pastor Adeboye a muderer.

In her exclusive interview with Pulse TV she called him a murderer saying he killed a cop in 1971

“Pastor Adeboye killed a Cop in 1971; I am saying it on camera.

“In 1971, Adeboye thought he was shooting an armed robber, but he shot a cop instead,” she said.

According to Olunloyo, Pastor Adeboye criticizes single mothers’ and that is why she keeps going after him on social media.

“Adeboye said if you are a single mother you have no worth; I am a single mother, we have worth, we don’t have to be married,” Olunloyo said.

“You don’t have to be married to have children,” she added.

She also said how he criticizes women who bleach or whiten their skins and how a woman can be fulfilled without being married.
“I drove a $55,000 Toyota Land Crusier in America, I made a $150,000 annually as a pharmacist, not adding what I made as a journalist.

“I was featured on Vogue in 1995 on a financial article,” she bragged.

“So why would he say I have no worth? That’s the only reason I am going after him.”

Baby with holes in his heart gets miraculously healed (photos)

A mother is filled joy and happiness after her son who was diagnosed with a serious heart condition is now completely healed. It was so severe that the baby was losing weight, and the doctors said he would need surgery in India.

The overjoy mother, Mrs Amara Ugo Eze, took to her Facebook page  to share her inspiring testimony on the efficacy of the power of iod.

Read her testimony below

Oh our son Chibuikem Joshua Eze is 6months today!!! Words fail me but I'll say a few things. He was conceived supernaturally, and apart from one or two attacks from the enemy which God gave us victory in, there were no hassles throughout the pregnancy. He was also delivered supernaturally to the glory of God.

On the 14th day of his life, he was diagonised of a heart condition. He had 2 large holes in the heart. Oh my God, it was a scary experience. I couldn't feel my legs when I heard the doctor' s report, but as I left the room, I looked into our son's eyes and said, 'This sickness is not unto death but to showcase the Glory of God on your life son'. Immediately, scriptures started flooding my heart and I was strengthened. On our way home we laughed very well. I and my husband started building our faith in God..

The paediatric cardiologist said it was impossible for the holes to close back. That we should start preparing for surgery in India. Hmmm. Hubby told her we'll make our decision after the second echo scan. My son was loosing weight due to the condition. We were asked not to allow him suck so that he doesn't go into heart failure. So many procedures(phew). They gave him some medicines he'll take pending the surgery.

I discarded the drugs after giving our son the first dose and told hubby that the Word of God is Josh's MEDICINE. I allowed him to suckle because babies are designed to suck from their mothers' breasts. We got scriptures on healing and the one that talks specifically about the heart Ezekiel 36:26. And started applying it on him by confessing it daily.

I had to build my faith by reading a Kenneth E. Hagin's study book on Prayer. We just kept confessing God's word and refused to believe that anything was wrong with Josh. In January, during our church programme, (WAFBEC), Pst Matthew Ashimolowo mentioned our case and we claimed it by faith. We danced, laughed, praised and blessed the name of God for his healing.

Exactly 3weeks ago, we went for the second echo scan. To God be the Glory, the scan read that Chibuikem Joshua Eze's heart has been COMPLETELY CLOSED. I wanted to hold my husband tight and scream out my lungs in excitement but the tears started rolling! The God that perfectly knitted my baby in my womb has given my son a NEW HEART!

The God that makes impossible situations possible HEALED our son COMPLETELY! Oh Praise God with me!

The compulsory every last Saturday Environmental sanitation in Lagos has now been cancelled...Governor Ambode tells why

The every last Saturday mandatory clean up of Lagos  from 7am to 10am has now been cancelled.
Accoding to a statement made available by the state Commissioner for the Environment, Babatunde Adejare, during the ministry’s monthly media chat in Lagos today,  the monthly exercise will be jettisoned because of its cost to the state’s economy.

The commissioner disclosed that the state governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has decided that the state cannot afford to shut down a mega city like Lagos for a period of 3 hours.

Mr. Adejare noted that environmental sanitation should rather be a daily exercise and charged residents to make it a way of life.

The commissioner also vowed that the state will shut down markets violating the state’s environmental laws.

Prisons Are Shutting Down in Netherlands because People Are Not Committing Crime

In 2013, 19 Dutch prisons closed because the country didn't have enough criminals to fill them. Now, five more prisons are slated to close their doors by the end of the summer, according to internal documents obtained by The Telegraaf.

While these closures will result in the loss of nearly 2,000 jobs, only 700 of which will transition into other roles within Dutch law enforcement, the closing of prisons follows a steady drop in crime since 2004.

Funny enough, the "problem" of empty jail cells has even gotten to the point where, last September, the country imported 240 prisoners from Norway just to keep the facilities full.

Still, according to The Telegraaf's report, Justice Minister Ard van der Steur announced to parliament that the cost of maintaining sparsely-filled prisons was a major problem for the country.

A number of factors underlie the Netherlands' ability to keep its crime rate so low, namely, relaxed drug laws, a focus on rehabilitation over punishment, and an electronic ankle monitoring system that allows people to re-enter the workforce.

A study published in 2008 found the ankle monitoring system reduced the recidivism rate by up to half compared to traditional incarceration. Instead of wasting away in a jail cell, eating up federal dollars, convicted criminals are given the opportunity to contribute to society.

Our country Nigeria can learn from this by introducing REAL social security to discourage crime.

Police trails Fake Lawyer over N22m Fraud; Arrests Him Under His Bed

An Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos has remanded one Emmanuel Uba in prison, who is said to be in the habit of impersonating as a lawyer and fraudulently obtained N22million from a businessman.

Mr Uba was sent to jail after he jumped bail since 2014 and has been in hiding for about two years. He was arrested by policemen from Lagos police command, while hiding under his bed.

The accused who resides at Iyana Oba area of Lagos, was first arraigned on October 28, 2008 on a four-count charge bordering on false representation, forgery and fraud.

He then pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Steven Molo, told the court that the accused attended court proceedings till sometime in 2014, when he could not be traced. The police thereafter made efforts to re-arrest Uba.

Molo said, "He has been evading arrest since 2014, even his sureties, who are his kinsmen from the same hometown, were not aware of his whereabouts. He left Lagos and told his wife and children not to tell anyone his whereabouts, but the police arrested him while he was hiding under his bed.”

Insp. Molo alleged that Uba lied to his sureties that the verdict had been delivered in his favour, and damages awarded against the complainant.

At the resumed hearing on Wednesday, two of Uba’s kinsmen, who stood as his sureties applied to withdraw due to inconsistency of the accused.

Uba's lawyer, Mrs C. O. Mbah, had begged the court to admit the accused to bail, adding that he had some medical challenges.

But the Magistrate, Mr B. A. Sonuga, discharged the two men as sureties. He remanded Mr Uba in prison custody and adjourned the case till April 24 for continuation of trial.

According to details of the case, Mr Uba had in 2008, falsely represented himself as a legal practitioner to a businessman, one John Uka, at the Lagos Trade Fair Complex.

The accused also allegedly presented a forged letter-headed paper of the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry to John Uka, and obtained the sum of N22 million from the businessman.

The prosecutor said Uba also assured the businessman that he had become his lawyer and would represent him in any business deal.

The offences contravened Sections 390, 419, 465 and 484 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

She also added that she is yet to overcome the language barrier. “I know some Yoruba words. Everyday, I am still learning. Another challenge is that the food is quite different from our mouth- watering Jamaican dishes.”
