'I just wanted to try my luck'-Online scammer who blackmailed MKO Abiola's wife of $5000

A 26-year-old man, Caleb Nzube, who attempted to blackmail the wife of late Chief MKO Abiola of $5,000, was last week arrested in Anambra State. Nzube allegedly hacked the Twitter handle of Mrs Tinu Abiola, downloaded her picture and designed a web page showing the woman carrying a human skull. He then threatened to expose the web page to the world if the woman does not pay $5,000.

Traumatised Mrs Abiola, it was learned, petitioned the Inspector General, Solomon Arase, who directed a combined team of the Inspector General Monitoring Team and the Intelligence Response Team to track down the suspect.

He was arrested when the operatives stormed his hideout in Obosi.

It was gathered that Mrs Abiola was not the suspect’s only victim, as a serving Senator and two others were also being harassed by him on the social media.

Speaking with Vanguard after his arrest, Caleb Elom Nzube agreed that he is an internet fraudster as he specialised in online dating before venturing into blackmailing thinking it was more lucrative.
Disclosing he spent hours on the social media searching for prominent Nigerians, Nzube said his targets are mainly rich politicians, popular businessmen and socialite.
He said he goes after these set of people because he thinks they are usually sensitive to what is said about them in the public.
On how he got into trouble he said,
“I started following Mrs Timu Alade Abiola on Twitter and I got her pictures. I felt she was a good catch and I decided to blackmail her. I used Photoshop to make it look like she was carrying a human skull. I designed a web page with a little gossip story on it that she was caught for ritual.
I sent her the link and when she saw it I demanded she pays me $5000 or I will show it to the whole world. One of her friends came in and begged that I shouldn’t do it and that they were ready to pay me $ 2000. I rejected the money, insisting that I must collect the amount I demanded.
Later they discovered I was Igbo and they gave my number to an Igbo girl who started talking to me and I accepted their offer, what got me angry was that while we were still talking, they sent a fishing link that destroyed my website which I have been maintaining for more than four years. That website had paid me little money I have used in sustaining myself.
I told the Igbo girl about it and that if I don’t get the money before the end of the week I will show the web page to the whole world. She asked for my account, I gave it to her but before I knew what was happening, the police came and arrested me.
I don’t understand why she has to bring in the police; I told the girl that what I needed was for her to tell her madam to just pay me for my website they destroyed. In fact I regret all this, if I had known it will be this messy I would have not ventured into this. What I do is only dating. I just wanted to try my luck on this one.” he lamented.”

Guy who went into robbery because of his blind dad, gets caught

Members of a six-man robbery gang that had been terrorising petrol station owners in the Northern region have revealed why they choose to be robbers.
The deadly gang’s targets were filling stations and bakeries in Kaduna, Nasarawa and Niger states, including Abuja FCT. One of its operations at a filling station (name withheld) in Masaka, close to Abuja, left in its wake the death of two persons with several others sustaining varying degrees of injuries.

Members of staff had closed for the day, with some of them changing into their clothes when the unexpected happened, following the deafening sounds of gunshots which made the fear-stricken staff to run into hiding.

This happened immediately after the manager of the filling station (name withheld), who had collected the proceeds of the day from the fuel attendants, was at the verge of entering his car parked within the premises of the filling station.

The astonished manager was reportedly hit with the butt of a gun by one of the unwelcomed guests, while his colleagues fired sporadically.
At the end of the operation said to have lasted less than ten minutes, two persons were reportedly hit by stray bullets while the sum of N6 million was carted away, with members of staff dispossessed of their phones and locked up in one of the offices.
  Attempt to help blind father
In this interview with Crime Guard, one of the suspects, Bende Mohammed, who kept shaking his head in self pity, claimed he reluctantly joined the gang after several attempts to raise money for surgery on his visually impaired father failed. According to the Nasarawa State-born suspect,
“I never knew it would get to this. I am a power generator and grinding machine mechanic. But proceeds from each day’s business were not enough to take care of my family. Besides, I have a father who is blind. I was told he needed some money to carry out some medical tests to ascertain the category of blindness. But I didn’t have money to pay for the consultation let alone for the test. Everyday, I would be inundated with calls on his deteriorating state. When I shared my predicament with a friend, he introduced me into robbery.
“I initially refused to buy into the idea but reluctantly joined them later. The first time I went with them on an operation, we struck a filling station in Masaka, where I got N400,000. Out of the amount, I sent N100,000 to my father to use for the test. Out of the balance, I bought a motorbike which I used for commercial purpose. I intended to stop at that point and use the rest to establish myself. But the gang won’t release me. I regret everything and wished my father was not blind”, he said remorsefully.
Insider connection
On his part, 33-year-old Ikechukwu Okereke who hails from Imo State gave a startling revelation that most operations at petrol stations are carried out in connivance with some members of staff. He stated that the gang usually struck in the evening, when filling station managers would have collected money realised for the day .
According to him,
“We usually stormed filling stations in our operational vehicle. We worked on information usually given to us by insiders. Some members of staff of filling stations gave us information on when exactly to strike. Most of them assisted us because of their poor remunerations. Some of them are paid as low as N4,000 per month. They rely on stipends from customers and adjustment of pumps.
“In the case of the Nasarawa filling station operation, we had information that the manager would be coming to collect the day’s sales by 6.30pm. We arrived at the vicinity around 6pm to survey the terrain and to keep tab on the manager. We struck as he was about leaving the filling station by opening fire. In the process, we collected the cash he was with, and moved to our hideout where it was discovered to be N6 million. And we shared it equally with the informant.
“Another operation I partook in was that at Masaka, close to Abuja, where I got N400,000. The third operation was also in Nasarawa. But it was foiled owing to miscalculations on our part. One of us jumped out of the car before we reached the filling station and started shooting. This made our target to run away. We left out of frustration and invaded a bakery, where we got just N90,000.”
I was gullible
For 39-year-old Mohammed Usman, popularly known as “Dogo”, he was a victim of circumstance, and he blamed his indulgence on his gullibility. He said,
“I was a victim of circumstance. I am not really a robber. I was deceived by Yahaya (pointing to one of the suspects). He (Yahaya) called me on the phone to inform me that he had a job of N6 million and needed my assistance. I acted so foolishly because I did not even ask what kind of job it was. I went with him and others, only to discover it was a robbery operation. By then, I could not turn back. At the end, I was given N30,000. Same thing happened the second time when they stormed the bakery, where I got N15,000.”
Arrested at last
Corroborating Dogo’s claim, Yahaya Musa said
“Yes, I invited him when I was given a job to rob a filling station. I only wanted to help him raise money because of his impoverished state.”
After the incident, Musa was said to have received a call where the caller informed him that he had another filling station job for him. As usual, he reportedly invited other members of the gang and headed for the meeting point, only to walk into the welcoming hand of operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (SIRT), led by Abba Kyari.

See Proof that Olumofin Brothers Weren't Bounced from Toolz/Tolu Demuren's Wedding Yesterday

Dokun Olumofin is pictured below with Toolz's husband, Tunde Demuren.

Rumours went viral yesterday that Dokun and his brother Adejoro were walked away from the star studded wedding yesterday. They have now released a statement debunking the story once again.
"We thank you for contacting us to clarify the position regarding our attendance and leaving Tunde Demurens wedding. We can all agree that a persons wedding is a once in a life time event for which reason Tunde and I had spoken on Wednesday and agreed to put the drama behind and move forward.
We had already decided out of respect to honour his invite at the least, but in view of the
previous drama surrounding this event, to keep our stay at the event short, congratulate our friend and leave. That precisely was what we did. At no time was our invitation to the event cancelled and at no time were we requested to leave.
As to your questions whether after all this we shall still be friends, the answer is yes. Thank you for your concern. We would appreciate a complete closure to this unfortunate and unnecessary drama.

APC condemns the transfer of Fr Mbaka's by the Catholic Church...

The All Progressives Congress has reacted to the transfer of the founder of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, to a new parish.
This comes as Father Mbaka, who has been the parish-priest of the Christ the King Parish, G.R.A, in Enugu metropolis for over 20 years, was transferred to Our Lady Parish, in Emene, a suburb in Enugu where serve as an assistant parish priest.
The APC South-East Caucus spokesman, Osita Okechukwu in a statement released on Sunday, January 31 condemned the Catholic Church ,saying it is wrong to punish a priest for declaring prophecies that have proven to be from God.

He said:
“Whereas we accept that the transfer of priests is a routine exercise of the great Catholic Church, however we do not wholly accept a situation where the church allows external forces to influence transfer as the Mbaka’s case suggests. Otherwise, future liberation clergy who speak truth to power will be hamstrung to the detriment of the society.”
“Our major concern is the security implications and the fate of his flocks who are mostly the downtrodden who may find it difficult to go to Emene for salvation and healing. We frown at anything which will put Fr. Mbaka in harms way or deny his flocks healing.”
Okechukwu further revealed that the party, APC condemns all attack against Father Mbaka while insisting that the party was in full support of the priest.
The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo were also accused of playing a role in the supposed punishment of the priest.
Fr Mbaka leaving yesterday
“As a party we have watched with concern and trepidation the criticism, the attack, assault and unpleasant comments hurled against Fr. Mbaka since he providentially prophesied that President Buhari would win the 2015 elections.”
“Even the Church did not spare him – he was called unprintable names, yet his prophecy came true. We are happy that Fr. Mbaka was vindicated.”
“It must be pointed out that accusing fingers were pointed at the direction of some anti-Buhari elements like Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a group that didn’t want to hear the name of Buhari – even though Ohanaeze denied the allegation, doubts still persists.”
“For we are still at a loss why a senior priest will be degraded to an assistant parish priest. We repeat that we are in solidarity with Fr. Mbaka and our major concern is the security of Fr. Mbaka and the suffering of his flocks mostly the poor who need his healing powers.”“We had thought that His Lordship Bishop Calistus Onaga could have retained him at the Adoration Ground, as the Bishop Emeritus Gbuji did because of security of his life and easy access by his flocks,” Okechukwu added.

Catholic Church Demotes Father Mbaka; 'I'm Going to Suffer' - Mbaka Replies

Tears flowed uncontrollably from parishioners and members of the Adoration Ministry as fiery Enugu Catholic priest and director of the ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, yesterday bowed out of Christ the King Parish, GRA, Enugu, which he presided over as parish priest for 20 years.

The entire Enugu capital city also stood still as over 30 lorries accompanied by thousands of his adoration faithful escorted him in a motorcade to his new parish, Our Lady Parish, Emene, a suburb of the capital city.

Mbaka’s transfer became a topical issue as a section of the society saw it as a punitive measure for his recent prophecies especially that of December 31st 2014, when he predicted that former President
Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated in the 2015 elections. This has however been dismissed by the church who explained that the transfer is a routine exercise done every six years by the bishop.

But Mbaka’s transfer as a parish priest to a resident priest, where he will serve under another priest, has raised eyebrows eliciting further comments from close observers.

SunNewsOnline reports that Mbaka himself while handing over formally to his successor yesterday told those around that he was going to suffer, moving from a duplex to a room in his new parish but asked them not to worry that God has bigger plans for him.

Hear him:
“I know we are going to suffer; between now and few months to come, I am going to suffer; I am going to suffer because I have no place to lay my head; I am  going to suffer because I have no place to keep the Ministry’s assets; I know I am going to suffer; fortunately it’s going to happen in the month of Lent; so I am going to use my exit here to observe the Lent.
But Jesus said it to His apostles in John 16:20, ‘You will be sorrowful and the world will be rejoicing but very soon I will turn your sorrows to joy.’ So I am waiting for that moment because for now I know we are going to suffer.
The Adoration Ministry is passing through suffering right now; even though I have accepted it as the will of God; it is the will of God through suffering; it is a mega suffering. But however, the grace of God will carry us all; even though some of you may pray that God should remove this thorn from us, the scripture says ‘His grace is sufficient for us; for its even in your weakness that the power of God is demonstrated. So we are moving but don’t forget the scriptures, ‘my brothers they make me keeper of vineyards, my own vineyard I keepeth not.
All these while we have been keeping vineyards, building for Christ The King Parish…Bishop Gbuji asked them, how much …but because I don’t want to disclose my charity, they can’t keep that account. How many trailer loads of cement came here? All the monies I made from my cassette and other private crusades all of them were used to build this church. We cannot quantify it but let God be glorified.
“It is the will of God; and when the will of God either permissive or however, happens, nobody should question it. All you have today is Amen; so to the will of God Fr. Mbaka has said Amen.”
Mbaka said he welcomed the decision of the church leadership with absolute acceptance and obedience, stating that nobody should see him as a recalcitrant priest. He assured that the parish would not collapse due to his exit, and urged the members to treat his successor, Rev. Fr. Theodore Ozoamalu, well, and to assist him in any way he needs help and not allow him to cry.

His words:
“Don’t starve him; don’t allow him to suffer; in my own time I didn’t need your help because God blessed me in my own unique way and I am happy. God will keep the parish because we have fought the good fight; I am not regretting anything and the highest gift God has given here is his Holy Spirit who assisted me up till now.”

Barren Woman Attacks Husband with Acid in Ibadan (Photo)

“THE woman who gave me a substance told me that it was a charm meant to endear my husband to me. I never knew that what she gave me was acid. All I was trying to do was to keep my husband’s love so that he would not think of leaving me, because I know that my marriage with any other man would not endure because of my barrenness.”

These were that words of Remi Agunbiade (38), a resident of Ita Barika, Foko area of Ibadan, Oyo State, after she was arrested by the policemen from Iyaganku Division over an alleged attempt to kill her husband, one Olawale Shola, by pouring acid on him on January 27, 2016.

The incident occurred less than 24 hours after a similar happening at Oje area of Ibadan where a man allegedly poured a bottle of acid on the mother of his two kids for reasons best known to him. But the
difference is that while the Oje suspect ran away after committing the act, the Foko victim, Shola prevented his assailant from escaping as he ran after her and held her until neighbours came to assist him in preventing the lady from running away.

Crime Reports learnt that the Foko incident happened at about 9a.m while Shola was lying down in a room he stayed with his partner, Remi.

In an interview with Remi after her arrest, the lady, who also got some of the acid on her skin, claimed ignorance of the substance she poured on her partner, saying that she thought it was a love charm.

According to her:
“I met Shola in 2003 and we have been together since then. He was the one who forced me to abort for him twice, and since then, I have not been able to get pregnant again. Then, he had a wife with two kids.
“When I had my first pregnancy, he said that his wife was also pregnant with their third child, asking me to abort mine, which I did. He used to schedule his stay between the two of us. We used to quarrel often and this got me worried because I knew that if he left me, I would not be able to have another steady relationship since no man would be willing to live with a barren woman.
“I met a lady called Iya Azeez at a provision stall at Agbeni market, Ibadan. During our discussion, I intimated her of my challenges and said that I didn’t want to leave my husband. She replied that I would have to resolve the issue through self-help. I asked for assistance to stop further quarrels between me and my husband and she said she would help me get water that had been prayed into from an Alfa, stating that all I would need to do is to sprinkle it on my husband, after which he would love me without holding anything back. She gave me a bottle containing the liquid substance on Tuesday, January 26.
“On Wednesday morning, my partner, Shola, was lying down when I took the bottle and poured the content on his head. He cried in agony from sleep and I also shouted and ran out. But he followed me and caught up with me beside the house next to ours.
“He asked people to help him hold me so that I would not run away. By then, a huge crowd had gathered and it was then they started saying that it was acid that I poured him. Some of the liquid got rubbed on my body when he held me, giving me some burns.”
The suspect claimed that she did not know the residence of the friend who gave her the purported bottle of liquid, saying that she only met the lady about two months ago. She confirmed that she quarrelled with her husband concerning accommodation, since she already told him that she was tired of living with him in a room she rented herself.
“I decided to pack everything out of the room to another place, leaving it bare. His friends intervened and he came to sleep in the room with me on Tuesday. My action was because I didn’t want to have another husband.”
She also disclosed that her husband started dating another lady in her neighbourhood about three years ago, and that the lady used to scorn her childlessness. Remi added that her husband rented a room for the lady.

Crime Reports was also at the Burns Unit of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan where the victim was on admission. He narrated his experience thus:
“Remi and I have been together for over 11 years. My relationship with her caused a friction between her and my first wife who has four children for me.
“I used to defend Remi anytime she had a quarrel with my first wife, especially because she had yet to have a child. At a time, I abandoned my first wife to be with Remi when the first wife cursed Remi and said she would never have any child till she would quit relationship with me.
Also about three years ago, I started dating a lady. This caused Remi to be threatening her. She even went as far as quarrelling with the lady. Last year, I discovered that my first wife was already dating another man because of the neglect she suffered from me. As a result, I called Remi in October 2015 and told her that I would have to share days of the week between her and my first wife. Initially, she was angry at my suggestion but later said I should start in January 2016.
I went to my first wife twice in January and by the I returned to Remi’s place, she had changed the lock and had packed all her belongings and mine. She also collected my phone from me under the pretext that she wanted to use it. After my friend’s intervention, she returned on Monday, January 25. But I went to sleep in the third lady’s house. On Tuesday, I went to Remi’s place and stayed there with her in the bare room.
“On Wednesday, I was lying down, waiting for a friend. Suddenly, I felt a warm liquid on me. As I opened my eyes, I saw as she was about to run out and I went after her. I raised the alarm and people came. I told them that she had already threatened that she would do an unforgettable thing to me. That was how I was rushed to the hospital.”
Shola admitted asking Remi to have an abortion in the past, but said it was only once.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the story, said that the suspect was still undergoing investigation, adding that she would be arraigned to court at the conclusion of investigation.

Ajisebutu warned members of the public against adopting acid as a weapon of revenge, saying that the act was criminal.

Speaking on Shola and the second patient, Abimbola, the Public Relations Officer of the UCH, Mr Deji Bobade assured that they would get the best of treatments. According to Bobade,
“it is good that they have passed the critical stage. We hope that in a matter of days or weeks, depending on how fast the healing process is. they should be discharged home.”

Chris Brown Slams Babymama after She Said He gave their Daughter Asthma with his Weed

Chris Brown's baby mama claims the singer is not only a bad influence on their kid.. he's making the child sick.

According to TMZ, Nia Guzman claims 1-year-old Royalty has developed asthma, and she says it's all because Chris has exposed her to an extreme amount of secondhand smoke.  Nia says when Royalty comes back from a visit with Chris she usually reeks of smoke.

Guzman also claims in legal docs she's worried Chris is abusing drugs and has relapsed ... especially
with sizzurp.

Nia wants to restrict Chris' visitation ... asking the judge to force him to hire a full-time nanny or pull back on his right to be around the child.  She also wants the judge to force Chris to take random drug tests, prohibit him from using drugs or consuming alcohol around Royalty, and stop him from smoking around their daughter.

And Nia wants more child support ... she's getting $2,500 a month but wants it upped to nearly $16k a month.

Chris Brown has now reacted on Instagram. What he shared below:
