After seven years in prison, 26-year-old Iranian woman who killed a man she claims was trying to rape her will be hanged tomorrow morning.
According to Amnesty International, Iranian authorities confirmed that Reyhaneh Jabbari will be hanged .
Jabbari’s mother said today in a Facebook post that prison authorities told her she would have to go to the facility to 'collect the body' tomorrow.
In 2007 the former decorator stabbed Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former employee of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, after she claimed he lured her to his house with a promise of work and tried to sexually assault her.
In 2009, she was sentenced to death by a criminal court in Tehran .Human rights organisations condemned her sentencing and accused the courts of failing to examine all of the evidence'
Human rights organisation including Amnesty International are condemning the sentencing ,claiming she was put through severe torture to extract confessional statements from her
