Police Rescues Five Year Old from Kidnappers in Rivers State




The Rivers State Police Command on Friday rescued a four-year-old-girl from the hands of her abductors barely 30 minutes after her abduction.

The little girl who was taken away from her mother, at Ikoku Junction along Ikwerre road at Mile 2, regained her freedom by the swift intervention of the police.

An eye witness said  the kidnappers double-crossed the mother of the girl in her car along the Ikwerre road and made away with her handbag, her child and other valuables.

The Commissioner of Police Rivers state Police command, Dan Bature who confirmed the incident told the press that the little girl has been rescued from her abductors just about 30 minutes after her abduction.

He said the police following recent cases of kidnapping in the state have intensified actions to curb the menace.
