Why Is Buhari Government Allowing Thugs and Criminals Block Our Roads In Ekiti?

We are no longer under the Jonathan administration where thuggery and criminality were permissible and reigned supreme. The president of Nigeria is Muhammadu Buhari and the Vice is Attorney Yemi Osinbajo SAN. Thus we ask: why is this Buhari government permitting thugs and criminals to barricade our streets in Ekiti state and lead to continued humiliation, suffering and death of our people?

Yesterday these criminals blocked major roads with trailers, today the criminals and thugs again barricaded the roads. According to PremiumTimes "Olasore side and Efon alaye section of the express road" has been barricaded and "also, the Ikere section of the Akure-ado express road was also barricaded by thugs."
We express our utter disgust that such reckless acts of criminality entailing reckless endangerment, criminal obstruction of major highways, attempts to obstruct and interfere with justice, disorderly conduct, interference with a legislative procedure, disobedience to officers of the law among other offenses are being permitted in the present day and under the new administration.

Permission of open political criminality and thuggery is the reason for the spate of terror in Nigeria, a worst in the world. We do not understand the problem of terrorism including Boko Haram, Ombatse and MEND and can never seriously contain and prevent it (terror in Nigeria) until we take seriously acts of public mob thuggery, criminality and violence especially politically sponsored. Today we are even being targeted by global terrorists like ISIS (who regard our army as “collapsed”) for transporting nuclear weapons because our security department is recognized for being dysfunctional. And this if for these simple reasons of a lack of understanding of the obligations, urgencies and necessities of Nigerian officers.

The National Security Adviser, NSA Sambo Dasuki and IG, Solomon Arase are charged with arresting the culprits including their sponsors, and clearing our streets. We hereby call on the office of the NSA, the police chief and police force that has been hasty in the past to arrest civilian volunteers brave enough to fight and die fighting Boko Haram; the likes of Sarkin Baka Adamawa with the brave vigilantes impounded for defeating Boko Haram, to immediately rise up to their constitutional duties and clear our streets and neighborhoods of fragrantly violating thugs and criminal terrorists.
