President Muhammadu Buhari, may have just answered the prayers of several people in the Niger Delta region.
He has approved the appointment of Brig.-Gen. P.T. Boroh (retd.) as the Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme for former Niger Delta militants.
Details of the appointment was disseminated on Tuesday, July 28, in a statement released to journalists by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
Boroh would take over the responsibilities of the former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta, Kingsley Kuku.
Adesina said: “The appointment of a new Coordinator for the Amnesty Programme is expected to lead to the speedy resolution of recent hitches in its implementation such as the non-payment of outstanding allowances to ex-militants.”
