APC ‘expects Goodluck Jonathan, PDP to apologise to Nigerians’

The All Progressives Congress in Ondo State says the Peoples Democratic Party should apologise to Nigerians for the last 16 years of corruption and mismanagement.
The ruling party said PDP should be blamed for the slow pace of the economy under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The party released a statement on Tuesday, through its spokesman, Abayomi Adesanya, stating that Nigeria was battered and in ruins when APC took over in May.
“PDP’s ranting about President Buhari’s ministerial list is unnecessary, diversionary and unfounded.
“The slow pace in the economy, misrule, maladministration, unprecedented corruption and mismanagement of the country’s treasury during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration were part of the obstacles that affected the smooth takeoff of President Buhari’s led federal government.”
“It is logical for anyone who intends to make a nearly-collapsed building habitable, to first demolish it and then lay a solid foundation before building on it. We met a virtually empty treasury and a battered system handed over by the Goodluck Jonathan led-PDP government.
“Nigeria was in a coma when Buhari took over on May 29. Anarchy and impunity were the order of the day.
“We expect Jonathan and PDP to be remorseful. They should apologise to Nigerians for ruining the country. Yet, they have the temerity to fault a government that has good plans for Nigerians.”
