Going by the information making rounds, the former senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife was on Wednesday disqualified from joining the senatorial race in the re-run election to be conducted on a date yet-to -be scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Uche Ekwunife was reportedly unhappy when the news broke to her of her disqualification. She was said to have raised a rant threatening to take the All Progressive Congress (APC) to court.
However, the chieftains of the party were said to have intervened to calm Ekwunife into accepting the decision of the screening committee.
