New reports have revealed that Ibinabo Fiberesima is presently recovering from a medical procedure which saw a tumour being removed from her breast.
The revelation had been made in a bail appeal submitted to the Lagos state Court of Appeal today, Thursday, March 17, 2016.
The Nollywood who recently bagged a five year jail term over charges of manslaughter, had appealed for an over turn of her sentence.
NAN reports that a six paragraph affidavit of urgency deposed by one Victor Eden, revealed the deponent asserting that Ibinabo was currently recovering from a surgery in which a tumour had been expelled from her breast.
"“Her wound has not fully healed and as such she is afraid that her continued stay in prison may endanger her life, as she will not have access to special medical attention." Victor said.
Ibinabo, obviously dissatisfied by the ruling of the court, filed an appeal through her lawyer, Mr Nnaemeka Amaechina, urging the court to reconsider her sentence.
The Court of Appeal in Lagos, has reportedly fixed April 7 to hear the bail application submitted by Ibinabo.
