RCCG Youths break world record again with their 74 hours marathon praise!!!

David said, in the book of Psalm 122:1 I was glad when they said to me, let us go into the house of the Lord.

Following the glits, excitement and experience from the 73hours Marathon Messiah praise which held last year, I made up my mind not to let anything stop me from attending this year's edition...not even my M.Sc convocation ceremony in UNILAG, could stop me from being part of the auspicious#74hourspraise.

Just so you know, the annual Messiah Marathon praise, organized by the Youth Ministry of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, is an initiative which started in 2012, when Pastor Adeboye, the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), turned 70 years old...with each hour marking each year of his life.

This year's edition, which is the 5th in the sequence of the longest global musical praise concert made, was tagged 'praise without borders' to commemorate the 74th birthday anniversary of the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor E.A Adeboye.

The 74 hours World record breaking unequivocal praises to God was held internationally this year, hence, the theme, praises without Borders.

The tri-staged event (all stages were interconnected via Satellite screens) which held at the RCCG Youth Centre, Redemption Camp in Nigeria, RCCG South Africa 2 Headquarters in Johannesburg and RCCG Jesus House, London, United Kingdom kicked off at 1pm on Monday 29th of February and  ended on the 3rd of March 2016.

Unlike last year, this year's edition was limited to the gospel singers and super stars within RCCG.

(Why go out to look for gold when you have gold in your home.)

Micheal Akingbala..so full of life!

All the sessions, from the opening and closing performance by the Marathon praise choir to Nathaniel Bassey, Sister Nkechi, Reverend Adelakun, Bola Thani, Bukola Bekes, Olaoba Ayodeji Abidemi,  Moses Onofeghara,  David Nkennor, Taiwo Ibidapo, Michael Onofeghara, Volunteers’ Praise Team choir,  BEEJAY SAX, Boiz Olorun, Femi Okunnuga, perfected praise Singers, Danny Praize, Gbenga Oke, Olumide Iyun, Big Bolaji, Redeemers University Choir (Life Voices),  Michael Akingbala,  Kunle Ajayi, Restoration Choir, Tosin Bee, Odunayo Aboderin, Pastors Seed Forum choir and the different regional choirs were beautiful.

I particularly enjoyed Odunayo Aboderin OD1's ministration, he wowed everyone with his praise session and DANCE moves...Kemi Filani and I loved it to a fault...the dude can sing!!!
The dance!!!
You should listen to and download his hit gospel ''Elewi Elese" track (HERE).

And then Ife Odogiyan's life changing and intense worship session. The anointed keyboardist, gospel singer and happily married father of one captured the atmosphere in such a way that....I am even lost for words. How can one describe a moment that is so indescribable?!
I pray his anointing never runs dry in Jesus name!

Oh! I must not forget to mention Nathaniel Bassey (my favorite Nigerian gospel Music Act)...he made it. His session was prophetic and filled with prayers for Nigeria.

With reference to Leviticus 26:10, he prophesied that Nigeria will experience a surplus soon from the famine we are going through now.

Sister Bola Thanni's session was another outstanding one...that woman can dance for Africa…lol. She really thrilled me with her dance moves to God and it was pretty obvious she enjoyed herself.

Taiwo Ibidapo's worship session was really good too.

I must not fail to mention Bidemi Oloba ...he wowed me...us, everyone, again!

I told you of his unequivocal thrilling fuji gospel music, last year and he did it again this year.

Hmmm… I overheard someone say, his one hour (session was like 10 minutes..he left the audience screaming for more with his great gospel fuji rendition and of course, Biblical quotes!).

Bidemi undoubtedly carries the presence of God. More anointing!

Leke Adeboye and wifey

Big Bolaji's exciting session is worthy of mention too.
One thing that made this year's marathon praise unique was the live streaming from UK and South Africa. Although, a lot of youths at the Youth Centre did not find it easy flowing at first especially,  during the United Kingdom session but the South African session was more relatable as James Okon, Nigerian born, South African gospel artiste did a great job of carrying us all along.

Another highlight of the 74hours praise, was when participant Eke Nkem proposed to his woman! How delightsome (don’t mind my biblical grammar)! KFB broke the exclusive story (HERE).
The couple

Another amazing moment was when Daddy G.O came during the programme to bless participants on the 2nd of March., 12am, birthday.

He said "Because you have honoured me with this 74 hours of praise, my God will honour you with atleast, 74 testimonies before the end of this year.  I am not your father, but your coach and I will continue to teach you.  I am proud that our youths are more disciplined and it is a sign that the future of the church is bright. I can see my successors and I am extremely happy that my tomorrow is alright. ”

The 74hourspraise ended at exactly 3pm on Thursday 3rd of March 2016 with closing prayers from Special Assistants to the General Overseer, Pastor Odeshola and other RCCG Youth pastors.

The organizers may wish to make more publicity next year. Also, a registration point should be considered, so the number of these great youths, participating in the world record breaking event can be documented.
