Nine people have died in Ghana's second city, Kumasi, following a stampede at a party to mark the end of RamadanSix of the dead are females and three males while those injured are receiving treatment at the Manhyia hospital.
The incident occurred in the early hours of today, Thursday, July 6 as revelers gathered to celebrate the Eid ul-Fitri festival.
The stampede broke out after a power cut and in the rush to get out people got stampeded on.
