And now the 18 year old – full name Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson – has revealed the turmoil of the years that followed
The teen opened up for the first time about the sexual assault she suffered when she was just 14.
When she was 14 a much older “complete stranger” sexually assaulted her, she told Rolling Stone .
"I don't wanna give too many details. But it was not a good experience at all, and it was really hard for me, and, at the time, I didn't tell anybody."
A year later, in June 2013, Paris was addicted to drugs and suffering depression when she tried to kill herself at age 15.
She slashed her wrist and took 20 Motrin pills – a type of painkiller.
"It was just self-hatred," she said. “Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore."”
But before that, Paris admitted she had already attempted suicide "multiple times”.
She explained: "It was just once that it became public."
But she said the hospital had a "three-strike rule" and after that last attempt, she had to attend a residential therapy program.
She then attended a therapeutic school in Utah that set Paris straight.
“I’m a completely different person,” she said.
"I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help."
aris now lives on the old Jackson family estate and spends a lot of time with her drummer boyfriend Michael Snoddy, 26.
She is an heir to the Michael Jackson Family Trust which is likely worth more than $1 billion.
