ARMY COMMENCE FIELD TRAINING IN JAJI, ADVISE PUBLIC NOT TO PANIC


THE Nigerian Army on Wednesday advised the public not to panic as it commenced field training exercise in Jaji.
This is contained in a statement issued in Kaduna by the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Infantry Corps Centre, Jaji, Lt.-Col. Ado Isa.
It said the exercise, tagged: ``EX WAZOBIA DILA,'' was expected to take place at Jaji-Labar, Dadin Kowa general area between April 13 and 17.
``It will involve movement of troops, firing of weapons and pyrotechnics in the area.
`` Residents of the area and its environs are advised not to panic on hearing the sound of gun shots or on seeing mass movement of troops to and from Jaji-Labar, Dadin Kowa axis.
`` They are also advised to keep off and stay clear of the exercise area,.'' The statement added. (NAN)
