Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Ahmed El-Rufai, has called for a complete disbandment of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
He also demanded the immediate privatisation of the four refineries owned by the corporation.
El-Rufai was irate when saying this on Monday, July 13, at the 7th Wole Soyinka Centre Media Lecture Series.
“If you don’t kill NNPC, it kill Nigeria,” he said.
While criticising the NNPC, El-Rufai said he was hopeful that the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would kill the corporation.
The governor also advised the government to set up another national oil firm.
