Buhari Needs To Probe Abdulsalami Corruption Amnesty Lobby

"Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not." - Proverbs 29:24, KJV

“Do you intercede concerning one of the Hadd (serious crimes in Islam, including theft, adultery and apostasy) set by Allah? Those who came before you were destroyed because if a rich man among them stole, they would let him off, but if a lowly person stole, they would carry out the punishment on him. By Allaah, if Faatimah Bint (daughter of) Muhammad were to steal, I would cut off her hand.” [Al-Bukhaari]

This is the truth. An upright person is never found defending or soliciting for the corrupt.
There is much evidence that only a thief pleads for a thief, a corrupt for a corrupt, a terrorist for a terrorist. Obstructing, interfering with or otherwise standing in the way of justice and equity is ungodly and inhumane. Where there is no justice, there is never peace.

According to Wikileaks cables, "Disentangling Obasanjo," in repayment for the handing over of billions of dollars worth Nigerian assets, cement facilities, refinery etc, at ridiculously cheap gift prices, Aliko Dangote of the Abdulsalami "Corruption amnesty" lobby gave former president Obasanjo a $35 million private jet!

It is widely known that Nigeria's largest oil block was transferred to Abdulsalami and his adopted Brother, Babangida's crony and in-law, father of the current Niger State governor, Colonel Sani Bello. Leaked files link former president Abdulsalami Abubakar, head of the amnesty committee with the $182 million Halliburton scandal; this corruption scandal has been one of the most epic in recent history.

Rent-my-jet Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor needs no introduction or elaboration. His controversial dealings including in arms, through the Jonathan years are globally known.

If we went through most of the entire Corruption amnesty group we will find similar indictments.

While thousands of Nigerians died at the hands of Boko Haram, this group who are now on their toes and extremely proactive in trying at persuading Buhari and Osinbajo, SAN to accommodate corruption were not quite seen when Nigerians cried and begged for their intervention both at the Boko Haram level and to the Jonathan leadership as regards the sabotaged and unequipped army.

It is widely analyzed that while for the many first years of Boko Haram the Sokoto caliphate was rather quiet and failed to clearly and unambiguously broadcast its condemnation of the group, the Ayo-led Church was found politicizing and further complicating the terror. The combination of these failures aided Boko Haram and alienated the people, especially the locals, breeding distrust and assisting in the group gaining recruits - misled youth thinking they were serving the interest of the northern Muslims against so-called southern Christians that hated them.

Today this committee is hyperactive and suspiciously interfering and obstructive in Nigeria's journey in pursuance of justice. It goes without saying that failed leaders have no place in Nigeria today.

To this end the Nigerian government, is urged in the interest of the thousands of dead, displaced, abducted, maimed, robbed, starved, poisoned and otherwise disenfranchised to deny this unholy committee further audience at this critical point in our history and to investigate them for malfeasance and being possibly bribed from the Jonathan-era looted billions of dollars.

And while we are on the topic, we will hope to see Masses lobbies also given audience with the Presidency on matters of national recovery and national security.
