A police officer has been shot dead and three others wounded during a protest against the deaths of two black men in the US.
The officers were shot at a Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday, KDFW TV reported.

Racial tensions are on the verge of boiling over in the US following the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

Sterling, 37, was killed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Tuesday morning as two officers responded to claims of a street vendor making gun threats outside a shop.
Castile, 32, suffered deadly wounds after police pulled his car over in St Paul, Minnesota, on Wednesday night.
