#FreeAbusidiq Fundraiser to Sue for Justice for AbuSidiqu, Freedom for Nigerians

by Dr. Peregrino Brimah
A Nigerian journalist and popular media publisher, Abubakar Sidiqu, publisher of AbuSidiqu.com was picked up by members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday.

He was picked up for a media story detailing alleged corruption and politics involving the chairman of the EFCC. AbuSidiqu is being charged with a frivolous charge of "Cyber stalking."

We call on Nigerians, humanitarians and conscientious people around the world to donate towards justice for @AbuSidiqu. Injustice to one is injustice to all.

First they start with enemies then they move on to friends. If we don't fight for the one, who will fight for us when they soon come for us, The Holy scriptures say that oppression is worse than murder.

Nigeria's EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu has been repudiated by the courts for behaving in totalitarian fashion and in an above-the-law posture. The commission is also accused of selectively persecuting while overlooking crimes by party members, ruling politicians and security officials and friends of the commission.

There are 350 bodies buried in Nigeria yet to be investigated 8 months after the crime and 5 months after the media exposed their secret burial. The media must be protected and the State must not be granted unlimited impunity in corruption and even murder and atempted concealment.

We call on one and all to protect Nigeria and Nigerians and ensure freedom of the Press.

We will be suing the Federal government over a partial application of the law and the use of the law as a tool of oppression and persecution. We have lawyers on standby.

Donate for justice for AbuSidiqu and justice and freedom for all Nigerians.
