Bishop David Oyedepo Visits Owerri, Reacts To Averted Winners Chapel Bomb Threat

General Overseer of the Living faith Church International (aka Winners’Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo, visited the Imo state headquarters of the church, where a bomb scare had occurred on Sunday.

The pastor also visited the governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, and thanked him for averting the disaster.

He noted that it was remarkably sad that Nigeria was under the Boko Haram scourge and he prayed that God would intervene and “give our leaders the wisdom to stop terrorism.”

He further stated that Boko Haram was beyond politics and that the government needed to promptly tackle the problem. He also urged citizens to join hands with the government to fight the insurgents.

Rochas Okorocha, on the other hand, thanked Oyedepo for the visit and assured him that the state government would not tire in ensuring the safety/security of life and property.

“Imo state is protected by the Holy Spirit,” the governor said.
