See Photos: Ugandan TV Station Banned For Showing Sleeping President

Well, so much for press freedom. Prominent television station NTV Uganda with subsidiaries in many other African countries has been banned from covering the presidency apparently for showing images of a sleeping President Yoweri Museveni.

The pictures were suspected to have been captured recently when the President presented his State of the Nation address in Parliament. In a statement to announce the punishment for showing the dozing President, government media centre manager Dennis Katungi said,
“The President has habits, he meditates and they know it, and still they go out and say he was sleeping.” Essentially Mr Katungi wants the world to believe that the President was meditating in Parliament in the full glare of the public eye and not sleeping as the TV station sought to portray.
“We have suspended their coverage of the President as we reconsider our relationship with them.”
LOL, does it look like he is sleeping or meditating ?
