NEMA Emergency Response Team South South Zonal Officials nearly died following an accident that happened on Saturday.
The NEMA officials on hearing that some people were trapped in a flooded community alongside State Emergency Management Agency staff embarked on a rescue mission but were unfortunate to get to the scene as their ERT vehicle was involved in an accident on their way to the scene.The vehicle somersaulted four times after the tyre bursted while on motion.The vehicle was diverted into a canal.However no official died but the 5 officials in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
