Tribunal Nullifies Gov. Wike's Election, Orders Fresh Election In Rivers State

Many trooped out jubilating in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, as the election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja on Saturday nullified the election of the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Nyesom Wike.

The tribunal Judge ruled that the process that brought Wike to office did not comply substantially with the electoral guideline. The tribunal ordered INEC to conduct a fresh governorship election in the entire state.
