Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, was recently photographed in Parliament receiving a phone call using a Nokia 1100 locally known in his country as “Ka-torch”.

After receiving the call, he hands it back to someone.
A senior intelligence official reportedly told a news station in his country, Crooze FM when contacted on why Museveni carries a cheap phone that it was about security.
“Security… One can be located easily by following smart phones…but not that one [ka-torch].”
The ka-torch was specifically designed for developing countries: its keypad and front face have been designed to be as dustproof as possible and its sides are non-slip for humid weather [no harmful emissions].
“It is the only phone the president has,” the official also added.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is a Ugandan politician who helped overthrow dictator Idi Amin and went on to become president of his country. After he lost an election to be widely considered rigged, Museveni declared himself president of Uganda in January 1986 and has been president till date.
